UPDATED: JAN 26, 2015 Tap @ Great Lakes: Semi clear toasted amber body with not much head, just a small tan ring. Aroma of slightly spicy yeast, bubblegum, Candi sugar, some vague fruity esters, a touch of musty straw. Flavor is really gummy & sweet. Plums, grape, light apple, some spicy Belgian yeast notes, white pepper, hint of cardamom. Touch of vanilla, phenols, & toasted straw near the finish. Lingering residual sugars. Tap at Jacs. Unfiltered orange-copper body. Big steady off-white head. Big clove tastes. A little deeper, darker malts than most Tripels. Yeasty smoothness. A very nice US-Belgian. Big fruity dry yeast esters. Sweet, rich, well executed. Well balanced. Nice depth. The only thing lacking is the belgo-champagne effervescence.

This one poured a bright dark yellow to orange with a whit ehead. Aroma was of belgian spices, candy sugar, and mild fruit undertones. Flavorw as on the sweeter side, pretty clean for an americain tripel, just not really my thang.
