Fruity hoppy aroma. I wouldn’t say it’s a black beer in a blind test. Speaking of black, it’s rather dark copper, almost brown. A bit transparent, tiny beige head, perfect lacing. In taste it starts to be real typical black ipa. Notes of dark malts, hops and also roasted seeds. Nice bitter aftertaste. Perfectly low carbonated, quite smooth. Mark_Eck (1948) - - JUL 10, 2015
Draft. Pours black. Aroma and taster are pine with some roasted malts. Slightly sweet and bitter. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 6, 2014
On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown, small head. Malty citrus nose. Roasted malts flavours. Good bitterness. Drinkable. Tinco (617) - Linköping, SWEDEN - NOV 15, 2013
Visited Great Leap and tried 10 of their beers in samplers. All in all I was impressed and happy with the beers. Too bad I forgot pen and paper so take more serious tasting notes so my rating score is based on memory. Great BIPA! Impressed, nice hoppy punch to it with some nice darker malt notes. Very nice! dreamflower (790) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 20, 2012
This was dark in colour and refreshing citrus aroma. It tastes a bit like an IPA, but with caramel and chocolate. Very nice.

My favourite from Great Leap. Black with brown head. Slightly hoppy aroma, but there’s a lot more going on here. Sweet and spicy. Not sure what’s all in this, but it’s very good.
