Keg at the brewpub. Black, small beige head. Nutmeg, indian spices and cafe au lait up front. Mid sweet with medium body and soothing, rounded mouthfeel. Coffee, nutmeg, cream and other mild aromatic spices. Mid bitter finish. Really good! Beersiveknown (5309) - NORTHERN IRELAND - MAY 5, 2014

dark brown, no head. this does everything it says and surprisingly works quite well. i reckon it needs some more tea like tannins and some lactose to make it a proper chai stout but the spicing doesn’t overpower but works with the rich malts to provide an interesting beer i can see complementing food. ginger and cardamom notes particularly noticeable on nose with a general warming spice in body and cloves in finish.
Beertopia 2014. Very roasted, a bit burnt smelling and tasting, some sweet liquorice syrupy spice. Interesting - the hua jiao peppercorn works quite nicely though the palate is on the watery side. HKdIPA (863) - HONG KONG - MAR 14, 2014
Beertopia 2014 #4. Slightly spiced aroma. Cinnamon? Not a bad stout - light, roasted. Not much else. dreamflower (792) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 20, 2012
Dark in colour with a sweet spicey aroma of Christmas spices. Quite enjoyable.

This was great. Dark with excellent lacing. Smells like Christmas. Coffee and chocolate, but also cinammon and probably some local Chinese spices. Not sure what’s all in this. Sweet and tasty.
