Bottled: nice copper coloured appearance with a good head. Sweet caramel smell. Nice taste. Slight smokiness to the malt, and a lovely balance and aftertaste. Good beer

FatPhil (16368) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 29, 2017
Draught (Swan & Castle, Oxford)
Rich orange, small tight head. Pleasant malty aroma, some brown bread (hovis?), screaming "traditional yorkshire bitter" to me. Sweeter and caramellier in the taste, less bready. Slight resiny touch to the hops on the tongue, but, despite its fullness in the palate, it’s a little flat. Perhaps a little too sweet, and the carbonation’s a bit low. Neither of those help. Great drinkability though.

Cask, pours a near clear ruby amber with a light tan head. The smell is toasted malt, caramel. The taste is fruit, caramel, toasted malt ending dry and crisp. The body is light+ with mild carbonation.

theprof (1014) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2017
Cask. Aroma hoppy. Pours dark amber with white frothy top. Taste is fruity with a bitter languor on the palate after a soft start. Fair enough.

Itstasty (100) - East Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2017
Cask @ Kings Head, Barmby on the Marsh. Chestnut brown, nice looking beer. White head. Light bitterness, no great body. Uneventful but palatable.

BlackHaddock (7410) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 25, 2016
500ml bottle at home on 22nd Sep 2016. Poured a lovely clean, clear amber with a decent off-white head. Toffee aroma from the malts, nutty notes too, semi-sweet, semi-bitter and highly carbonated (a bit fizzy actually). Liked it.

ManVsBeer (10656) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2016
Bottle from Keelham Farm Shop, Thornton. Clear copper coloured with an extremely thin head. Has a crisp malty base, some hops, some sweetness. It’s a tasty balance.

3.2
martpez (232) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2016
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2016 A very typical example of a Yorkshire Bitter, severed at cellar temperature in the Golden Slipper in York. A dark bitter with bitter muddy hops and a treacle finish. Not at all bad.

2.2
fiulijn (20604) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 24, 2015
Cask from Birratrovo, Como
Hazy dull amber color with large frothy head. Strong aroma of green apple. Dry weak mouthfeel; astringent, papery, acetaldehyde.
Seriously bad.
