Bottle from indepdent shop in Conwy but enjoyed many times over a weekend in a pub in Betws-y-coed. Celtica is a light tasty summer ale with strong notes of citrus and thick sweet grass. It is quite watery and flat but I like that for a good necking beer over good convo or a meal. It’s managed to find its way into fortnum and mason. Bottle from Beers of Europe.
Appearance - golden to golden amber with a decent head.
Nose - oranges going into dried oranges.
Taste - orange and light herbs. General marmalade thing going on.
Palate - light to medium bodied. The texture is tangy. The finish could be a little fresher considering the style.
Overall - solid. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 21, 2016
My Bottom Line:DeanF (2464) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 11, 2016
Actual honey aromas permeate this Golden Ale’s smooth body, leading to a fruity, almost cidery finish.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam skirts the misty dark gold.
-A mineral touch graces the finish.
-Hop levels are soft, especially in the finish.
-This is a tad too sweet to my personal liking (for a session beer, mind you).
On cask at The Bridge Inn, Conwy.
Aroma of soft lager hints with caramel. Weak yellow body, minimal head. Flavour is okay lager hints and some vague malt. Medium on the mouth. It’s just average. Hanoi (951) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2016
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2016 Bottle. Nose is caramel, biscuit, butterscotch, faint herbal hop note. Taste caramel, butterscotch, cream, faint lemon and herbal hop. A mess of a beer, weird profile which is not light nor especially hoppy.Crap beer made in a tourist area for gifts home. Better beers available in Tesco for half the price

Light blonde, clear, thin white head
Aroma of light caramel, soft honey
Taste of soft honey, light sweet caramel, very little hops, light fruity, getting some alcohol which isn’t good at 5%
Palate - Soft sweet.
Overall - Doesn’t do much for me...
500ml bottle from Real Ale Warehouse. Pours clear gold, no head. Aromas are butterscotch and apple crumble. Taste is more diacetyl-butterscotchness and light spicy hops. Light body, thin texture. Slightly astringent finish. Might be better in the bottle-conditioned version, but I wouldn’t rush to find out. fajry (2082) - SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 22, 2014
Fľaša. Zlatá farba s bielou penou. Vôňa sladová, ovocná. V chuti sladovosť, jemne ovocie a nevyvážená trpká horkosť.
