Can thanks to Jcwattsrugger. Pours black with tan head. Nose and taste of freshly brewed coffee, roasted chocolate malt and vanilla bean. Simple but delicious. Body on the lighter side of medium. Lots of fresh coffee roast in finish. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 2, 2012
Thanks to pepsiedcan for this. Black in color with a khaki head. Roasted malt, coffee, and a light chocolate aroma. Light metallic note, some toffee sweetness, very light nuttiness, and a hint of smoke. Flavor is mostly roasted malt and coffee. Some cocoa, molasses, toffee, and nuts. Very mild smokiness and a slight acidity and metallic character. bhensonb (15088) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 1, 2012
Can thanks to Guerde! Pours very brown/black with a creamy dark tan head. My but there’s a strong coffee aroma. Full bodied. Flavor is very coffee, very chicory? herby? something veg, with a lot of dark burnt malt, and I think a subtle hint of chocolate. Anyway there is something that suggests a strong green plant aspect. This is bound to get your attention. Startlingly good. Ratman197 (14674) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JAN 29, 2012
16 oz can poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of coffee, roastiness, bakers cocoa, earthines and molasses. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of coffee, bitter chocolate, roastiness and light licorice with a smooth lingering roasty coffee finish. Drake (13647) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 28, 2012
16 ounce can courtesy of pepsican. Thanks! Pours a very dark brown color with a large dark brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, dark roasted coffee, chocolate and tobacco. The taste is coffee, dark roasted malts, sweet malts and a bit of smoke. Medium bodied, low carbonation.

THis one is a robust super coffee-driven stout. Not usually a huge fan of these but this one is good. jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 29, 2012
on tap-still-black. A-coffee/roasty dk malt. T-follows. Good, but a bit thin, and not my taste. daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 25, 2011

UPDATED: APR 15, 2012 On tap @ Great River Iowa City. Dark black appearance with a brown head. Black coffee light milky stout aroma. Thicker mouthfeel than the milk stout but the coffee overly bitters the beer. Rich milk chocolate, coffee, espresso, a touch acidic, fruity flavor. Roasty aftertaste. Tap at Great River on Nov. 26, 2011. Very dark pour with a small reddish head. Super rich coffee and not a lot of bitterness. This is terrific.
