Amber with minimal head. Malty rye aroma. Taste - like a hoppy amber ale. Caramel malt and spicy green hops. Well balanced. Pretty good.

Minnesota Trip Beer #74. Keg at the brewpub, 5/9/16. Hazy golden, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of lemony hop and pale malt. The taste matches. Medium bodied. deyholla (11479) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 4, 2015
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy grass and earthy grain with hints of pine and citrus. Flavor ha earthy grains and bitter citrus with a hint of pine and an earthy grain backbone. Atom (2416) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 13, 2015
Tap at brewpub pours a copper/orange with s medium khaki head. Sweet caramel and toffee aroma with some berry. Sweet malt with a pleasent drying hop. Not bad, drinkable. Braudog (6666) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - SEP 2, 2014
Draft at the brewpub. Standard visuals for an EPA, perhaps a bit darker than some. This is tasty, but drinks with a fruity, almost berry aspect that I’d expect more in a beer labeled an American amber than an "English" pale. Sturdy flagship. (#5689, 8/30/2014)

I liked that this wasn’t overly bitter as some APAs are. This had a nice aroma and flavour. northropfrye (3506) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 13, 2012
Sweet money, some hops. I found this to be a very sessionable and drinkable beer. Not crazy amounts of flavour but quaffable. ryanfolty (2538) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - NOV 7, 2011

Golden orange pour, fruity/citrus aroma and caramel/malty taste. Foxbush (2003) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 25, 2011
This was our first stop while on our Minneapolis trip. The St Paul brewery is downtown near the St Paul Hotel. This APA was one of the best tasted for the trip. The clear amber color and frothy head were impressive. The bitter floral flavors of the hops were well balanced with the malts. The finish was smooth with some bitterness. The APA had an IBU of 50 and 14 Plato and served at 38 degrees. We also had Bac-n-Beer nuts that was spicy. adnielsen (10601) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 22, 2011
On tap @ Great Waters. Burnt orange appearance with a light off white head. Good caramel malty, somewhat hoppy nose. Caramel, slightly nutty malty flavor with light hops. Almost more like a light brown ale.
