COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Strong, bold, creamy and delicious. If you’re seeking a flavorful Porter that means business, here you go. We’ve created a traditional-style London Porter with the addition of unfermentable lactose to give you a creamier mouth feel, a technique famously found in milk stouts. The results are out of this world. Brewed with Chilean Coffee and Chilean Chocolate malts – you’ll get unbelievable hints of roasted flavors that only enhance the typical caramel flavors of traditional porters. We then cold condition our Imperial with Venezuelan Cacao nibs which impart a harmonious hint of chocolate and coffee to what we only call an “Imperial drinking experience”. We think our Imperial Milk Porter is unlike that of any porter you will find.

Dark brown. Medium tan head. Aroma malt, mocha, caramel. Full body. Creamy mouthfeel. Not really much alcohol. Flavor is fairly dry with a little caramel malt sweetness, for whatever reason not noticing the lactose others have noted. Some roasty and coffee flavors too. Big yet pretty drinkable, enjoyed it.

Tasting. Pours dark brown with a creamy, meadium-sized tan head. Aroma is roast, some lactose, and a little coffee. Taste is lactose, milk chocolate malt, roast, faint coffee, and just a touch of alcohol. Light-medium body. Soft carbonation. Creamy, frothy mouthfeel, but very light for the style.

From notes. Had in line while waiting for order forms at Dark Horse for the 4 Elf Party on December 9. 16 oz can shared by ebone1988. The pour is a lighter black with a decently thick tan head and a good amount of lace as it falls. The aroma is bitter roasted malt up front and a strong lactose throughout. There is a hint of coffee and a light chocolate on the back end. It’s an interesting blend, but the lactose is a little off-putting to me. The flavor is much of the same. The lactose is big throughout. The roasted malts and a light chocolate and coffee try to balance it out, but it just can’t hang. The mouth feel is a little light with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly bitter roast and sweet lactose sugar on the finish. It’s not terrible, but this is too milky for me.

Can thanks to Nathan. Aroma is roasty, lactose, chocolate, coffee, great. Appearance is black, brown head, poured thick for the style. Taste is robust, lactose, roasted malt, coffee, milk chocolate, slight booze, great. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy body, light carbonation, robust roasty lactose aftertaste. Overall, solid stuff here.

APPEARANCE- perfectly black with dark nougat colored head that looks almost fluffy. NOSE- smells a bit boozy. FLAVOR- roasty flavors dominate the first couple sips. The flavor borders on a stout, however the mouth feel is decidedly porter-thin. The head has a creamy texture to it. Although it smells a little boozy, this beer hides the 11% extremely well when tasting it. NOTES- Excellent beer. Right on point for the style and very tasty.
