Bottle. A clear one, brown in color and with a small, dense, dark beige head. It’s roasted on the nose, with chocolate notes and some coffee. Hints of dark dried fruits. The flavor is roasted and chocolatey, with some dried fruits and a little bitterness. Quite dry on the palate, medium body and pleasant carbonation. A decent beer, but it’s a bit dry and one dimensional for my likings. 121110 chrisv10 (18920) - DENMARK - NOV 10, 2012

Dark brown to black with a dark beige head.
Aroma: roasted, sea water, hmm... that’s what people say oysters taste like.
Taste: roasted, light chocolate, light licorice, sweet, knäck, I might get shellfish in here, or it could be my imagination, there is something I can’t place here at least. Finish is light dry and tart with subtle notes of green apples.
A bit odd and difficult to describe. Svesse (9222) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 31, 2012
(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2012) Black colour with frothy, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, tobacco and a generous roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and quite tasty. Nice one, but lacking something extra. PalCabral (164) - SWEDEN - OCT 30, 2012
Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours pitch black without much of foam. The aroma is practically non-existent, indicating it’s a lager version of porter, some caramel in there but not much. The reward is the taste, which is clean(again like a lager) at first, but then follows a wave of caramel, chocolate, licorice, and perhaps tobacco, with some balancing bitterness in there. Good sweetish aftertaste. Light to medium in the mouth. It’s not a bad porter this. rarbring (2290) - Linköping, SWEDEN - OCT 28, 2012
Aroma: Smelling of dark bread crust, sweet dried apples with brown sugar, dark chocolate and vanilla.Vignale (4205) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 21, 2012
Appearance: A brownish black beer. An tan head with good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting of sweet brown bread, figs and apples, chocolate and a hint of coffee beans.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a soft texture. A medium body with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: A decent porter as such. Clean and balanced.
Note: Bottle 500 ml. Reviewed 2012-10-28.
Mörk mahogny, lågt, närmast obefintligt skum. Doften växer med temperaturen. Viss alkoholvärme, kaffe, mörk torkad frukt och kinesisk soja. Lätt kropp, ganska torr, liten men dock närvarande örtig beska, mycket soja, och en del kaffe, mjöligt svartbröd och mörk kakao. Helt okej.
