COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Windjammer has a deep golden hue and is boldly bittered via early and late kettle hop injections backed up by adding even more hops during fermentation. This dry hopped ale is a standout in both it’s up front bitterness, its spicy citrus aroma and its long finish on the palette. A powerful beer originally brewed to survive the long trip from the UK to India, it is best paired with subtle foods because it will always take centre stage. A Hop driven delight that will take your breath away!

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2017 375mL can from Boozebud. Undated but fresh as a new retailer release. Appearance: Light golden with a white head which later fades to a ring. Aroma: Tropical hops and a bit of spice. Taste: This oozes with delightful tropical and pine hops. Rounded off with sweet biscuity malt. Its lasting bitterness is satisfying. Perfect! Mouthfeel: Above average body and carbonation. Overall: Excellent Aussie-made West Coast IPA. Best fresh!

In tap at Green Beacon Brewery. Nice frothy head. Fruity nose. Almost amber pour with good carbonation. Initially fizzy taste with intense fruit and hops hit. Great lasting hops palate.

375ml can, no BB date. Hazy golden amber with fairly large aerated white head. Strong pine and grapefruit aromas, catty notes, honey, pineapple. The taste has a bready and caramel malt character, lots of resin, pineapple, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, rockmelon, grass. Bad description, but very juicy. Quite fat bodied, higher than average carbonation. Quite a good IPA.

Tap and growler, haven’t tried the cans. Good off white head on a golden beer, no suspended partials and really smart hops. A great balance between resin and biscuit hops, flavours on a great beer tast that lingers on the palette. One of the best Aussie beers from a fantastic brewer.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2016 From can in IPA glass. Pours crystal clear amber with frothy head. The piney/citrus aroma is reminiscent of a West Coast IPA. Hop forward and lingering bitterness on the palate. Solid.

On tap at Green Beacon, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is fresh, with lots of piney hops and just enough biscuity malt to back. Robust and piney. Refreshingly vibrant for an Aussie IPA. Really nice.

Can (375ml). Clear amber with a dense stable white head. Aromas of tropical fruity hops, pine resin, orange peel and toasty biscuity malts. Taste is similar with a robust malt bill and a resinous dry hop bitterness. Nicely balanced palate with a medium body and lively carbonation. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours amber with a large head. Nose shows piny, herbal and spicy hops. A nice hit of sweet clean malt underneath. Flavours include more pine and spicy hops along with heavy sweet malt.

From a can. Great example of style, everything you’d expect from an IPA, big hop punch, huge tropical fruit aroma, fantastic!
