COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“There’s a lot going on in this beer with two yeast strains, copious amounts of wheat malt, and a big focus on ‘C’ hops to deliver a citrus explosion,” explains Green Flash Brewmaster, Chuck Silva. “In fact we lined up more than a dozen hop varieties in the brewery to select three hops with the biggest citrus character to dry hop the beer. “This golden beer pours with beautiful, frothy white beer foam that lasts due to bottle conditioning. Gently rousing the yeast that settles in the bottle will result in a fuller texture and a more cloudy white appearance. The citrus aromas that jump from the glass are largely tangerine up front with other types of citrus notes that mingle with the Belgian yeast esters. Hop flavors of bitter orange zest dominate the brew and linger to the finish with a nice play of American and Belgian yeast combo.” A beer with so many components can be held together with a “Linchpin”. The official “Linchpin” of this beer is the skillful collaboration between the two breweries to create a unique hop-forward brew. Linchpins are symbolic: two simple shapes that combine to strengthen a bond amongst many different pieces.

Bottle:   Dirty orangish straw, frothy off-white head, nice lacing.   Big citrusy aroma, sweet tea leaves, touch of orange zest.   Bright and sweet bitterness on the tongue.   Very orange peel like.   Lots of floral bits on the back.   This one is very well crafted.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Nice citrusy and floral finish, strong bitter finish but not out of balance.   Perhaps the White part makes it more citrusy.   This was clean, tasty, and would certainly entertain having this again.   Good stuff!

Bomber from Frugal McDoogal’s. Pours a very cloudy light yellow with an immense white head. The aroma lets me know this is going to be a complex and dry beer. It’s very floral with bread, lots of citrus zest and an herbal bite. The flavor has a bread quality like I would like a pilsener to have, but with a giant floral and citrus explosion. I love that the Belgian yeast is not overpowering or overly spicy. This is definitely more about the hops. It reminds me of a dry Belgian golden ale, but with the graininess of a wheat beer and the hops of an unfiltered IPA. I was at first mildly disappointed at the lack of PNW hop destruction unleashed on my palate, but I quickly embraced what this beer was intended to be and fell in love halfway through the bottle. I want more of this stuff.

Bottle from Bruisn Ales. Pours yellow with an inch of white foam. Has a bit of orange on the nose. Has a nice citrus, grapefruit thing on the tongue. Finish lingers a bit. Interesting twist on the style.

Bottle thanks to Jesse. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of coarse white head. Settles in minutes with minimal lacing. Aroma is hoppy, quite resinous, and piney. Flavor is hoppy, mildly bitter, resinous hops, with a bitter aftertaste that lingers. Hop aroma is more intense than the taste. Moderate carbonation, medium body, and relatively smooth texture. A pleasant, citrus, moderately hoppy white IPA.

Green Flash is always on point. Lunch Pin pours a cloudy yellow / light golden color with a tall white head. Smells herbal and maybe oaked. Very herbal taste with a malty finish. You will find hops, little citrus, and a little honey hit your palate. Another awesome beer by Green Flash. One of my favorite breweries. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy orange-ish head, big white head - in fact it was kind of a gusher. Smells citrusy, vaguely herbal, and a bit woody. Flavor is nice bits of citrus, bits of savory herbs, and some citrus as it warms.

Yellow pour with white head and lace. Aroma is a citrus/saison aroma for me. Earthy and citrusy. Citrus hops, floral notes, dry malty finish. Medium body with good carbonation. Unique to say the least

Solid wheat aroma with some citrus, lemon, cloves, banana, black pepper???, and yeast. Almost reminiscent of a hefeweisen. Flavor brings out the hops a little. Different.
