Clear medium to dark brown amber colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, chocolate, cookies, complex malty aroma. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, cookies. Very balanced. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20110717]

Bottle at home. Clear red brown coloured with a small beige head. Sweet aroma of caramel and dried fruits with notes of cookies and alcohol. Sweet flavour of caramel, rye bread and dried fruits with notes of marzipan, alcohol and hops. Sweet and warming alcoholic finish.
