Thick, malty, full-bodied beer with a smooth finish. Hints of licorice in the flavor, which really is similar to Scotch. Thick, tan to light brown head gives way quickly to a dark brew that you can barely see through. One of the best beers I’ve tasted. princevassago (7) - Poway, California, USA - SEP 1, 2013 does not count
Tastes just like scotch. The best $26 I’ve ever spent, got it for my buddies first fathers day.super worth it GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - MAY 14, 2011
Brownish amber with a one finger pancake that reduces slowly to a spattered ring. Smells like French toast. Medium full nectar with soft and creamy effers. Rich and malty with flavors of English toffee, home brewed coffee, brown sugar, fresh plum. Theres a nice acidity to balance it out. This is designer beer if there ever was one. It is anatomically correct with a stylish finesse about it. Brewed by a master. AWMiller (512) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 26, 2011
Now this is one collaboration brew that is just stellar! This brew poured up a dark amber body with a nice tan-colored foamy head with great retention and lacing effects on the glass. Aromas of caramel, sugary candy, hops, toffee, scotch. Flavors of the same but this one has a delicious hint of smoke snuck in! Can also detect either figs or well-aged raisins. Medium-bodied and so very creamy and smooth. Definitely a sipping beer. tysongillmore (362) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2015
I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments.

Appearance: Pours a dark amber with a thin sparse white film.
Aroma: Vanilla, plum, sassafras, rich brown sugar like malts.
Taste: Spicy hops, burnt sugar, bread crust, cola. Finishes with nutty lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Syrupy with lively bubbles.
Overall: A spicy sweet malty treat. Pretty awesome fresh. This was a three man weave that ended with a two no-look passes and a slam dunk.
Pours deep clear mahogany into a thistle. Off-white micro head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sweet chocolate and caramel aromas. Soft with dark caramel, chocolate and a bit of heat. p1meatloaf (256) - Corvallis, Oregon, USA - SEP 22, 2011
Bought in denver and opened oddly back in San Diego into pint. Smells on pour at first sweet and floral with an amber malt tone then as the head died slowly it changed to spices and almost a lagery twang. Looks decently dark red. Tan colored thin head. Tastes at first of simple amber malts on the front then as it rushed across my palate I tastes lots of thick dark red spices. I taste some whiskey dirtiness as well. Pretty easy on the finish. The hop profile which is definite noticeably enhances the malt by making the finish crisp and a stinging bite throughout most of the palate. Great beer! overall 8.5 of 10. A beautiful beer, clear very dark redish amber. Thick, sweet maltiness to start, smooth throughout with a nice touch of alcohol at the end. A damn good beer. JohnnyMummbles (151) - Pitman, New Jersey, USA - MAR 16, 2011
Poured from a 12oz bottle a deep dark amber with a nice fluffy tan head that disappears quickly. Aroma is of vanilla, coffee, chocolate and dark fruits. Flavor is very good and well balanced. Not too overpowering and hides the alcohol very nicely. Good callaboration!!
