Pours a copper color with a nice head. Mostly citrus on the nose like grapefruit, with some pine. Taste is very similar with some spice added and some hop bitterness. Pretty good finish. slowrunner77 (12592) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 16, 2014
"(early 2013)Hmmm. Not sure what to think of this one, and I have no clue how old this was. I’ve had fresher from Green Flash, and you get the feeling this was once pretty epic. Piney and tropical, with a floral aroma. Maybe a little hop forward for them, but still nice." Gription79 (2893) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - DEC 8, 2013
Had on draft at the brewery. Vegetal, grassy, resinous, fruity alcohol, hidden alcohol, nice bready malt character, could use more complex hop flavor. Cory (372) - , California, USA - OCT 10, 2013
Draft. The Columbus hops are very aromatic, unlike other DIPAs where they have been diminished. Not too bitter, little thick, long finish. Alcohol apparent in taste and bitter stays with ya and builds. bhensonb (15617) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 7, 2013
Tap at The University of Beer. Pours hazy amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is resin. Med body or better. Flavor is resin with a touch of citrus/floral over restrained caramel. Not biting, but finishing very hoppy and bitter. With grapefruit peeking out. Excellent.

On tap at Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours light amber with a thick beige head and a citrus and molasses aroma. There is a full-bodied caramel malt flavor that starts sweet then turns bitter. hoppapatamus (3) - fremont, California, USA - MAR 27, 2013 does not count

On tap at the brewery, served in a sampler glass. Pours clear golden amber with a moderate off-white head that fades slowly to a thin cover and leaves a small amount of lace. On the nose, it has big notes of resin, citrus and pine, along with caramel biscuity malts. The flavour is well balanced with big bitter resinous hops with lots of spice, pepper and caramel malts. The finish is long and hoppy-spicy, with prominent alcohol. On the palate, it is medium in body with a dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a very nice California style double IPA. Well worth another taste. 2013-03-17 anders37 (26878) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAR 19, 2013
