Tap at Rattle N Hum. Ruddy amber pour with a thin white head. The nose is really herbal and spicy with loads of rye malt character. A bit of soft chewy, grassy character over a bright lemony/citrusy nose. Quite bready with a lot of soft fruit and spice balancing it out. On tap at Flanny’s in Tempe during the tap takeover. It pours with an opaque copper body that has thin gold edges and supports an off white head. The modest aroma offers up sweet malts, a faint malt roastiness, red apple flavored hard candy and spicy Belgian like yeast. The taste is similar with malt and red apple sweetness rolling into a mix of smooth Belgian yeasty spices and candi sugar. Nose of floral earthy hops, spicy rye notes, pepper, and some bubble gum. Reddish amber pour, frothy foamy head, sticky lace. A nice looking beer. Spicy rye, bittering hops, floral and light citrus notes. A hint dusty. Nice rye malt usage. Not overly belgian, just with a hint of sweetness from the yeast. Nice dry hoppy notes. UPDATED: DEC 5, 2012 On tap. Nearly opaque cranberry-rust color with a lasting ring of cream. Nose of bubble gum, banana, caramel, resin and earthy spices. Taste is banana bubblegum, earthy spice, lemon, toast, resin. Medium body is tingly with medium carbonation and a dry resinous finish.
