Draft @ Blind Tiger. Brown pour with tan head. Bourbon, bourbon, bourbon... Some light chocolate and malty notes. No hops to speak of. Smooth for what it is. PilsnerPeter (3048) - Flushing, New York, USA - DEC 23, 2010
Tap at RnH: Pours a deep murky brown amber with a lacing tan head. Big sweet aroma- tons of over ripe fruit, maltose, vanilla, mild booze/ethanol under all the sugar. Big slick body. Lots of syrupy sweet over ripened fruit flavors. Fig, vanilla/maple, tons of maltose and caramel notes. More of the sugary booze comes through than oak or tannins. Not a fan. Draft. Pours a dark bruin body with a faint head. Very boozy with etoh notes. Vanilla and booze, light fruit tones. Oak y and fruit with a mild apricot note. Caramel and chewy fruit tones with a strong warming. Decent. blipp (9598) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 16, 2010
Draft. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Toffee sweet aroma with bourbon sweetness, fruity hops, and maybe molasses or something like that. Similar flavor, bourbon sweetness with sweet toffee/caramel malts. Good, not great. TeamTrappist (832) - jericho, New York, USA - MAY 14, 2010
Tap at Blind Tiger. Poured a dark ruby red. Nose is sweet, bourbon, and hops. Green Flash’s solid hoppy barley wine is more augmented than complimented by the bourbon aging. Not to say it’s not good. It’s really good, it’s just that to me, these flavors, the bw, and the bourbon, both of which I like, conflict each other a bit. Or, did I just like the brandy barrel that much more? Either way if you see this, it’s more than worth a try.

Taste is very sweet boozy molasses/caramel flavors with bourbon background. Nice malt backbone. Big sticky on lips. Head is completely gone. Good, a little too sweet. Tap at Blind Tiger. Outrageous. Pours dark, ruby-brown with a moderate tan head. Some dark fruits and light booze in the nose. Flavor is sweet, somewhat malty, plenty of plum, grape, brown sugar, and a bit of chocolate towards the end. Medium in body, modestly carbonated, a little vinous. A lot delicious.
