This was a pretty smooth sout. A strong coffee flavor. Medium-heavy body. Obviously more roasted than the original Double Stout. Coffee throughout the nose and finish. Alcohol is easily masked. A decent double stout. Strong coffe flavor and pours dark brown almost black. Smells malty. Had at home.

September 8th, 2012 - Green Flash’s "Goddess" Coffee Stout lived in a separate tent, and served joyously alongside other darker brews during Greenflash’s outdoors, parking lot summer event. As such, it became a popular destination (and beer) closer to the end of the day when palates semi-fatigued from so many other good tastings were still sensitive to harsher, darker flavors. This stout is dressed like so many others: a deep, dark attire with a silky film of bubbles on top, and a heavy nose of raw coffee beans. The taste is packed with coffee, too, and good coffee at that. It tastes like the depth and complexity of well roasted coffee (for which I am still very much a green beginner) like those served and sold at Birdrock Coffee. It’s sticky and slightly sweet, balling up in the back of the throat, where a little more bitterness balances out that good, natural set of dark fruit tones. closey22 (2031) - Mt. Thick black pour, dark tan head. Long lasting, cascading bubbles. Full, oily body. Aromas of truffles. Chocolate malty and coffee taste.

Sehr intensiver, weicher toffeeartiger Geruch, vermischt mit Nougat und leichten Röstspuren.
Antrunk kurzzeitig süßhpfig, dann sofort schokoladenmalzig weiterführend. Im Mittelteil starke Nougat- und Schokoladenaromen, welche trotz ihrer Dichte sehr harmonisch wirken. Süßlich-fruchtig, wiederum enorm schokoladenbehaftet und mit angenehmer Bitternote abfließend.

Draught. Pours black with beige head. Chocolate and coffee notes in aroma. Full bodied flavour, roast malt coffee, and more chocolate.. Wonderful malty finish. Do they bottle this, I hope so.
