Pours a dark orange-amber with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus (a lot of grapefruit, resinous pine, herbal hops, dank hops, sweet malts, and some light caramel. Taste if citrus (grapefruit dominate) pine resin, herbal grassy hops, sweet malts, and some tropical fruits (mango and pineapple). Has a medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, pretty bitter, long finish. Overall, a very nice DIPA that feature the Columbus hops nicely and is surprisingly drinkable. zizzybalubba (1862) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JAN 4, 2014

On tap at Baileys Taproom in Portland, OR. Colour...slightly hazy amber with a thick ecru head. Nose...redolent of grapefruity hops and pine resin. Palate...intensely bitter, especially up front and mid palate. The hop profile is definitely on the grapefruit side more than the conifer side. In terms of fruit (besides grapefruit), there’s quince and unripe kiwi that also includes pineapple and gooseberry. The finish is long and semi dry with some intense bittering.
