COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden naked oats mashed with dark crystal and robust roasted malts create a luscious black brew with a satin smooth finish. Layering UK Target hops in the boil adds a pleasant, earthy complexity while higher fermentation temperatures enhance the overall flavor with fruity esters. An old-world style, done the Green Flash way. Big, bold, flavorful and complex – Double Stout.

Enjoyed as FCK qualified for the next round in Champions league 2010. Dark Brown with a medium light Brown head. Very sweet malty aroma of milky chocolate light roasted malts a bit af fruitiness. Smooth balanced sweet malty flavor, alcohol and a light roasted bitterness. Very drinkable

Coffee, vanilla, chocolate, moleasses on the nose. Thinner mouthfeel and lower carbonation. Surprising bitterness, moderate but sort of unexpected based on that initial impression from the aroma. A very good stout.

From sample pour at local December 2010 tasting.

Bottle from Uto Beer in London. Pours a nice almost black, deep hints of ruby, with a light tan head. Strong roasty aroma with hints of coffee and a slight fussely edge. Drinks with a nice full, smooth mouthfeel without being too heavy. Strong roasted flavour with a malty edge, a balanced bitterness and a lingering roast/coffee taste after shollowing. Nice. DRINK IT!

skortila (5950) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - DEC 6, 2010
Bottled @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam. The aroma has a lot of fine chocolate, some roast. Black coloured beer with a lasting, beige head. The taste is a little sweet, has bitterness, chocolate, some coffee and roast. Really nice chocolate taste. Balance is good. Medium body.

Pours a deep brown (almost black) with a medium tan head and a nice thin lace that sticks around for the full pour. The aroma up front is raw malt like a freaking homebrew shop. This gives way to some coffee tones the likes of which remind me of walking downstairs in the morning while the coffee is brewing. There are some fruity hops in there as well. The flavor is nicely hoppy and bitter, somehow creamy, and plenty roasty. There is a good bit of mocha and plenty of piney and fruity hops. All together very pleasantly bitter.

Pours deep black out of the bottle with nice thick tan head, lacing. Aroma is dark fruit, caramel, coffee, chocolate, and smoke. Taste is big mocha, with coffee and chocolate mixing well, with some roast, burnt caramel, roasted bitter finish. Full bodied, delicious, and cheap if you can find it!

1 pt. 6 FL. OZ Bottle. Colour pitch black, foam creamy, thick, flat. Smell of bitter chocolate and nougat! The beer starts very chocolaty, roasty malt aroma, little nougat and caramel in background. The finish is heavy malt, much of chocolate and nougat, dry finish. Fabulous Stout!

Bottle. Pours a dark, near-black body with a big, beige head. Nice. Aroma is chocolate-infused dark fruits and hints of coffee. Taste is coffee and toffee flavors, with hints of soy, coconut, berries and dark chocolate. Rich. Complex and well-made, this is a balanced stout with a lot of "new school" American stout flavors. Delicious.

WisconsinBeer (716) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - NOV 13, 2010
Bottle. I don’t see any light coming through, so we’ll call it black. Tan colored espresso foam head with a light lacing trailing down the glass. Aroma of brown sugar, almond, vanilla, and alcohol. Flavor is medium roast, milk chocolate, vanilla, oatmeal, a bit of nutiness, and a fresh ripe fruitiness. Medium to full bodied with a lively carbonation and silky smooth texture. Finishes with notes of pepper, a nice wallop of resinous Euro hops, and a mild alcohol warmth on the back of the throat. No complaints here.

Rune (13186) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 1, 2010
Motor oil pour revealing a devil-black body. Disappearing brownish head. Spiced dark malts to the nose. Dark grainy malts in flavour nicely married with leafy hops. Warmth from the alcohol. Balanced and well bodied. Just the right drink to finish off a solid drinking week in Sheffield and London. Bottle 6 oz, shared with Finn at Cask Pub & Kitchen, London 5 Oct 10.
