Clear dark black brown color with a large, frothy - creamy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy - smooth, carbonation is soft. 
From bottle, blind #23. Pours dark brown to black with a tan and creamy head. Dark roasted and chocolate malt aroma. Acidic, light chalky, chocolate and vague coffeish base flavoured. Bottled. A pitch black beer with a lazing brown head. THhe aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of chocolate and a light note of burnt malt. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is slightly soft but with fresh minerally carbonation. Nice rich malt with well balanced licorice and coffee flavours. Malt cream. Nice stout!
