A: The pour is a lightly hazed golden color with a big white head.
S: Like many good lagers, this one starts off with a sweet bread note and a touch of hops. The hops are floral and earthy with just a mild grass note. A bit of lager yeast and biscuit malts, perhaps a light adjunct note.
T: Unfortunately, not quite as good of a flavor. It features a mild bitterness as well as some straw and grass. There is a light fruitiness of esters as well as some actual yeast. The base is sweet bread, but it lacks the biscuit quality of the nose.
M: Light in body with a medium level of carbonation.
O: It’s too bad this didn’t taste quite as good as it smelled. Overall, though, a pretty decent beer. bhensonb (15252) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 13, 2012
