Aroma is full of fruit with some light oak character and some acidity. Lots of cherries, plums, prunes and currants with some faint vanilla and spice. Light acidity in the aroma but not too acetic.
Pours a burnt amber with ruby notes. Solid, slightly off white head with really good retention. Light lacing and very small legs.
Flavor is similar to the aroma with lots of fruitiness with balanced oak and acuity. Lots of cherry, currant, plum and prune. The acidity compliments and isn't too overpowering - some acetic acid but mostly lactic. Finish has some oak, vanilla and spice character with faint acidity. the finish has a bit of raisin in it and other dried fruit as well.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium full carbonation. No astringency and low alcohol warmth. A bit of a smoothness to it; the acidity definitely isn't too sharp.
Overall this is one of the best American Flanders Ales that I have had. Lots of fruitiness with balanced malt character and acidity.

Bottle @ MTG II tasting at Rich’s Welfare Pad. Pours a hazed red, off white head. Massively complex aroma with bourbon, berries and sour red balsamic. Taste is puckeringly crisp with layered nuances of bourbon, nutty toffee and a sharp acetic presence. Intense.

Taste is tart, puckering red berries, bourbon, red fruit, some dryness, wood and balsamic. Great carbonation and mouth feel across the tongue. The beer of the year so far for me. World class. At Ghent Beer Festival. Pours clear ruby red with a small beige head. Smells of bourbon. The aroma contains caramel, malts, vinegar, whisky and citrus. Clear ruby red beer, small aery beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of lactobacillus, very earthy, tobacco leafs, some caramel. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish, lots of lacto, lemony, acidic, vinegar even, bit fruity. Aftertaste: very sourish, lemon juice, vinegar, way too sour, burns the throat. Don’t like the super aggressive character of this beer.
No head left but small rim; red-brown beer. Sour, vinous, cherries, wood - all things nice. Sour-fruity, red (unripe) fruit, redcurrant. Complex, lactic, tad of acetid, just a hint at vanilla. Acidburning, acidthinning. A tad too sour, maybe - but (very) good all the same.
