Gift from SJ. I’m starting to like this company. Nice notes of brown sugar, bitter dark chocolate, banana and bread. Well done.

Poured from a growler picked up at the tasting room. Clean aroma with almost a rose petal accent. Raisin and toffee notes follow. Pours Amber with a cream coloured foam that persists. Lacing lingers as you would expect. Clean malt taste with effervescent carbonic bitterness. Aftertaste lingers with a clean bite. Pours a dark maroon. Aromas are bready, boozy and dark fruit. Flavors are quite rich. Dark fruit, brown bread, and some booze. I like this.

It definitely is a dark ale not sure if I like them yet. I wouldn't go out of my way to get this one again.

Bottle at home. Pours deep brown, nose is smoky, chocolate, dark fruit, taste is dry, roasted, rich toffee, sweet. Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - DEC 19, 2014
12oz., 2013 bottling. Sweet, darkly fruity aroma, notes of brown sugar and raisin, along with faint dark bread and medicinal alcohol. Rusty red-brown in color with a very fine, fading head and sparse lacing. Flavor profile is gently sweet, fruity and with just a hint of tartness, some black cherry and red grape appearing here, finishing with a light hop note, toffee and peppery alcohol. Warming and finely effervescent on the palate, thin and lightly sticky with a full body. Perhaps not the most refined example of the style, but tasty and full of flavor. Bottle. Pours an unclear brown beer with a beautiful off white head on top that lasts during the entire drinking experience. Aroma of apples, Belgian yeast, dark fruits, kandi sugar. Flavor is nice and sweet, fruity and has some age in there. Might even have some oaky notes in there as well. Great balance, great drinkability. Smooth sweet finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Good stuff. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - NOV 23, 2014
