Dark tan to orange in color, some chill haze but mostly clear, head and lace were ok.
Aroma and taste are plentifully endowed with lots of hops. Pine, earthiness, some grassy hops notes are all detected, with a somewhat resinous feel. there’s a sweet malt backbone to offer some balance, but this one is heavily skewed towards the hoppy side of the force.
Body is pretty full for any IPA, but it’s still quite enjoyable. The rather high alcohol isn’t very noticeable. In fact, this is my third of a four pack, and I didn’t realize it was 10.10% ABV until I clicked here to do the review. The alcohol is masked by the intense hoppiness.
It’s not far off from what I expected from Green Flash on a bottle that said "triple india pale ale." Hop heads will like it. Englishmen who think an ESB is a strong tasting beer, and who think that American IPAs are over-hopped abominations probably won’t. It’s a matter of taste on this one, and the taste is all hop-head-heaven. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Big hops aroma and nice hops bitter finish this is a super triple IPA. b33r (875) - Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Dark translucent orange color with small off-white head and messy oily lacing. Aroma has piney, herbally hops with an alcohol tingle in the nose. Flavor has strong bitter hops, with strong grass, vegetables, and broccoli notes. Finishes with a toasty maltiness and a slight alcohol burn. Good overall- a little too much vegetable flavor for my taste and pretty expensive for a 4pk at $14. BMMillsy (1788) - Florida, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Bomber from Tipples to my tulip glass. Pours a dark gold almost bronze color, clear, with a nice white one finger head. Definite pine on the aroma, with some nice floral citrus aromatics. Dank for sure. Malt profile provides some additional sweet on the smell. Big bitter pine on this one, but with a nice sweetness from the malt bill. Bitter is up front and all the way down the gullet. Big and slick mouthfeel but plenty of carbonation. Pretty big beer here with the high ABV. Solid DIPA, though heavier than I wanted today. BVery (10297) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Bottle. Slight haze in this golden yellow pour. White spotty head. Pine and pineapple aroma and taste. Would never guess double digit ABV. Nice beer.

Purchased a growler of this. Green Flash puts out some good stuff so I was expecting this to be great. Pours a clear, copper/orange with about two fingers worth of head. Aroma is citrus and pine with some malt sweetness. Taste follows the nose but seems to be lacking something. It is definitely unique but not something I am a big fan of. It is also on the verge of being cloying.
I have to admit that the alcohol is hidden well. Last night I had three pints of this stuff and it packed a punch. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 12, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2013 On tap. Totally clear orange golden color. Thin off-white head, with good retention, leaves good bits of lace. Big piney hop flavor, tropical fruit, spicy and caramel malts. Nice smooth lighter carbonation. Bigger body. Lightly dry finish, sort of sticky. Moderate bitter taste, light alcohol warmth in the finish, light somewhat spicy sweet taste. Solid big imperial IPA, but like a lot of "triple IPAs", this one has a pretty pronounced malt profile. A very big body, one to sip, not the most drinkable, but an interesting, unique hop profile to it. Worth trying, but I wouldn’t repeat it for the price. blackflag321 (689) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - OCT 12, 2013
12oz bottle. Dark gold. Has caramel malt and citrus characteristics. Very bitter. No booziness. b3shine (8795) - Indiana, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Bottle to snifter. Looks solid; a completely transparent burnt orange with foamy head somewhere between off-white and light beige. Smells solid; not Triple IPA hoppy though. Somewhat reserved citrus hops and sweet pale malt. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. Good, not great. Stevesie (336) - - OCT 12, 2013
Bottle to snifter. Big, hoppy nose. Dark copper pour with a small amount of off-white head. Nice bitter taste dominated again by hops and some mild citrus. Strong finish with some stickiness. Pricey four-pack, but well worth it. Another winner from Green Flash.
