"Triple IPA"? Sorry, guys, I have to break it to you, your penises really are just a bit too short, and there’s nothing that you can brew that will change that, so stop trying to compensate. Mid gold. Sweet hoppy mess. Unbalanced. Classic American WTF.
Stanky aroma, stanky taste. Boozy body. Stanky finish. What a freaking mess. No thanks, didn’t need the top-up.
Bottle. A lightly hazy dark golden beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head. Lots of pine cones and resins on the nose, some herbs and a faint cheesy oxidized touch. Sure a bit old this one, but damn nice anyway. Some caramel and hints of liverpaste. In a nice way that is. It’s quite sweet on the palate, full-bodied and with a pleasant carbonation level. Pine cones, citrus peel, resins and a cheesy touch in the flavor. Pale malts and some sweetness. Lasting bitterness with lots of hop flavors. Wonderful indeed, would be very interesting to have this one fresh. 140717 Benzai (16914) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JAN 15, 2015
Bottle [from Secret Santa 2014 edition thanks to beerandblues2] @ home. Clear orange golden color, full sized white to off-white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, hops, slightly sweetish floral. Taste malts, hops, resin and pine suddenly kick in which was what I was waiting for and it’s finished with good firm bitterness that absolutely suits the beer perfectly. Good firm bitter finish. Pretty good DIPA.

Strong Ale 2012. Orange pour with a white head. Really nice grapefruit, pine, and pineapple aroma. Some floral notes, a bit of bread sweetness, caramel, and tangerine. Really nice hop character to the flavor. Tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, and pine. A moderate bitterness to balance out the sweetness of the caramel and bread. bhensonb (15958) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 3, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours golden amber with a foamy whitish head. Aroma is primarily resin. Some floral. Med body, maybe better. Starts rather floral and tropical. Moves on to something suggesting raisin. Moves back towards tropical/resin. It’s pretty hoppy, and fairly bitter. Very unusual (to me) hop profile. A little woody? Keeps changing. Nice drink. Bottle shared at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma of slightly stale fruity, "green" and piney hops and some malt. Sweetish flavor with malt, stale fruity and piney hops and a very bitter finish. OK, could be fresher. Also too heavy.
