9/20/2013: Green Flash Green Bullet... H-O-L-Y--S-H-I-T! This beer is just so far over-the-top it’s ridiculous and I don’t necessarily mean that in a good way. After the Southern Tier Warlock blew, they put on a keg of this. I was happy to try it, especially since everybody else was so excited by the beer, but I’m not as enamored with it as them. So much so that I had a few samples just to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. I’ll be honest, this beer is an illustration of when more is not necessarily better. They managed to cram so many hops into this beer that it smells like cheese - that pungenty aroma hops get when they oxidize. To me, no pine, citrus, or tropical fruits that I now see mentioned in the description that I would have really liked to have in the actual beer. I did get some apricot in the finish, but that’s about it besides the alcohol. Don’t get me wrong, this beer has a substantial level of bitterness, but it isn’t a bright or clean bitterness and it is just a confusing assault of flavors that aren’t harmonious. To top it off, the alcohol just oozes out of the flavor. This beer is not to be taken lightly in any regard; it’s a mouthful of malt, HOPS, and alochol. It’s dangerous and can definitely knock you down. Apparently I’m one of the few there (the only one, actually) that didn’t really think that this beer was all that and a bag of chips. Guess I miss out, but no biggie since I have plenty of other beer to drink anyway! Draught sample(s) at Party Town in Florence, KY. Rating #90 for this beer.
Bottled (backlog). Deep orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, grassy and some resiny and wooden notes to it. Flavour is sweet malts, some honey, floral and fruity notes with a nice zesty and quite bitter finish. Guruhso (610) - Grindsted, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2016
Bottle. Hazy amber golden with white head. Heavy malty and heavy hoppy. Aroma of citrus, resin/wooden notes, floral, herbal, dried fruit - and toasted, caramel and hay. First try with NZ’s "Green-bullet" and "Pacific gem" hops, which seems spicy and piney. Starts light heavy sweet and finish heavy bitter. Quite alcoholic. Light body and oily texture. A nice one. Mooie oranje kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt fruitig, orange, honing. Smaakt fruitig, zoetig, honing, orange. Droge afdronk. Lekker. hopscotch (11113) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 15, 2016
Draft... Pours clear and amber with a large, frothy, white head. Good retention. The nose is crazy-spicy. Too spicy and nearly medicinal. The aroma also features light rations of American biscuits, crackers and overall graininess. Ultra full-bodied and velvety with stinging carbonation. The flavor is harshly bitter and tongue-numbing. The malt bill presents light notes of caramel and English biscuits. Wow - a bit excessive. Not flawed, but not my thing at all. Plumb7 (5) - Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JUL 30, 2016 does not count
Very nice beer. Pushing heavier on the barley wine side rather than the hoppy IPA.

Near clear orange pour. Aroma is floral hops. Taste is floral, sweet and bitter finish. Blah blah blah, I hate the character count requirement. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JUL 10, 2016

Pours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some bready maltsy tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste. weordie (1186) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2016
Pours copper with a big foamy head. A really strong malty aroma. A huge malty kick in the teeth! Amazing.
