Bottle courtesy of markwise. Pours a clear amber color with one finger white head that settles slowly and provides lacing on the glass. Aroma is hops, grapefruit, citrus, some honey and spice. Flavor is malty and hoppy with the grapefruit-citrus-like flavors predominating. Some orange and ripe non-citrus fruit notes come through as the beer warms. UPDATED: SEP 17, 2012 The beer poured a deep red in color with small bubbles for the head. The hops were nicely evident and balenced with the malt. It was pleasure to drink. I need to learn how Simcoe hops compare to cascade. I improved my scores from 2008. This is an excellent IPA.. The dry hopping makes a huge difference. Your sense of smell and taste can have a field day. Medium body with average carbonation and nice lacing down the glass.
