2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Wildly disappointed with hop head... What changed( was my bomber super old?)the aroma was nothing compared to its former glory... I was almost embarrassed to talk up this beer in the past ... It really offered very little.. No pleasant aroma .. A muted and cloying malt taste with just a hodge podge of hop flavors that were not pleasing to the palate ... Will try to tell myself it was past the date it should be consumed but a huge let down from green flash who brew some of my favorites.. If its supposed to taste like this skip it...

Copper-amber body is clear and topped by a medium-sized, beige head with moderate to moderately low retention.
Specialty malts and fruity hops are joined by a touch of pine and lots of pepper. Just enough caramel-like sweetness balances the beer gently and the alcohol is well-concealed. This used to be an amazing beer at the start of the brewery, as did most of their other beers. I assume it went downhill and is pretty mediocre now. Lots of fresh, juicy, fruity hops. Almost NE IPA juice levels, though with a stronger pine/grapefruit bitterness. Crunchy/hard specialty malts and light woodiness, with light yeastiness lingering and ample, engaging carbonation.
Backlog, bottle pours a amber golden with 2 finger white head. Smell and taste are ashy and bitter hops, sticky malt, pine resin and dry wood. Medium bodied. I could drink one of these but would get tired of it after that. oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 6, 2016
Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of HOPS, and some other hints, maybe fruit, maybe coffee. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and hoppy as hell. ClassyBeagle (376) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 23, 2015
A: pine up front with a superb combination of citrus and hops in the background. Some light maltiness does come out slightly.
A: Pours a murky amber red with a nice 1finger offwhite head. Fair amount of lacing and retention.
T: Follows the nose with a bit of the fruit, but dominated by biting hops. Not the balance I was hoping for.
P: Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation. dafozz69 (9) - Sanford, Maine, USA - JUL 24, 2015 does not count
Pours a amber red with white head that lingers to lace. Aroma of floral and caramel. Moderate mouth feel and carb. Well balanced malt and hop profile. Finishes crisp with slight bitter after taste. Not a lot of complexity but a nice drinking IPA.

Gran experimento ¿nuevo estilo? Duchammer (186) - Eagle river, Alaska, USA - MAR 21, 2015
Bottle poured read with a white head
The aroma had herbal and floral notes with light Carmel notes. Taste had caramel malt. The predominant taste is bitter, but it wasnt a hop blast! The palate is invigorating. I didn’t find it to be too complex, but it’s still decent. tricksta_p (4658) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - MAR 2, 2015
Aroma of malt, caramel, citrus, fruits, resin, hops. Flavour is light sweet with a medium bitter finish. Very dry. Wish I could have tasted a fresher sample, but even aged it was damn fine, even though it has probably lost its hoppy edge. benfergy (248) - Valley City, North Dakota, USA - FEB 1, 2015
The aroma has hops that are herbal and floral. As I sip, I also taste caramel malt. The predominant taste is bitter, but it isn’t overwhelming. The palate is invigorating. I didn’t find it to be too complex, but it’s still good. George999 (457) - Colorado, USA - JAN 24, 2015
Pour from bottle is dark red, aroma is bitter floral and hoppy, taste is roasted with a strong hop forward flavor, finish is bitter and a full mouth feel
