Draft, nontraditional for green flash; meaning i consider these guys the kings of hops. Pours a bruin body with a tan head. Spicy with heather and floral notes, light tea and sage. Spicy with a sweet malt bill. Gruit is always a treat to drink. tmoreau (4513) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - NOV 15, 2010
12 oz. cellar stock bottle which poured a hazy, copper/brown color, with creamy tan head foam that held on for awhile before diminishing to a creamy ring & film, and some patchy lacing. The aroma was spicy, caramelly sweet, a hint of mint, ginger snap, fruit as fig, and a little cherry lozenge. The flavor was lightly roasted and a nice melding of the aroma notes, less the mint. Interestingly flavorful, and a good style to go hopless, since hop flavor is usually not much of a factor in a majority of hopped versions. Tap at Rattle N Hum. Deep ruddy/amber pour with a thin white head. The nose is quite fruity with a distinct kiss of red grape, currant and raspberry. There is a nice nose of light mint as well as a kind of pine needle fruitiness. The flavour though is quite unusual. While there is a fairly herbal nose the flavour is dominated by a harsh sort of astringency. As it warms the nose also starts to take on a kind of sour note that is kind of distracting. Odd. Aroma: Some spice/ginger notes, some malts, and maybe some fruit
Appearance: This one pours a reddish-brown color
Flavor: The taste is pretty strange, with some spice/malty flavors
Palate: Light-medium body, quite smooth as well
This stuff is real weird, sort of a strange Flemish sort of beer. I’m not sure what to make of it, but I do know it’s not really for me. It isn’t bad, and it isn’t poorly made, I just can’t see myself rushing out to drink it again.
Draught at the Thrash Zone. Big spicy aroma, I sense ginger. Crazy. Dark brown-orange color. Sour! Caramel, tons of spice, cherry, yes, strawberry rhubarb pie seems to fit. Also sour candy drops. Wild. Unlike any beer I’ve tried. Great.

Omgwtfbbq?!? Nose is out of this world. TimE hit the nail on the head w/ rhubarb. With that is something between harmony and cacaphony with tart and sweet and funky bitter herbs. The rosemary and yarrow are certainly there with herbal funkiness. Tart and vegital with pumpkin seed, yarrow (if you have tasted it you know what it is), and more rhubarb rounded off by tart cherry sourness. I love tradiotional ales, and I applaud the brewer for attempting this. The aroma is flowers, brown sugar, tea. The appearance is dark brown, tan head. The flavor is sweet: cola, brown sugar, tea, flowers. The finish is sweet, some flowers. Medium in body. Draft. Pours orange brown with a thin head. Sweet fruity aroma with some light herbal notes. The flavor is sweet and fruity, almost citric, with some herbal flowery notes. Nice.
