Draft. Very dark maroon color, tan edge head. Aroma of licorice and burnt espresso coffee pot and pine. Taste is exceedingly bitter and astringent mrlted tar. Reminds me of Mikkeller Black, and not in a good way. madmitch76 (25321) - , Essex, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2014

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark brown color, near black, with creamy head. Aroma of boutique coffee, mild and fresh. Smooth mouthfeel; roasted malt and coffee flavor, dark but not burnt, with light residual sweetness, traces of roasted nuts; strong bitterness, with hop resins hidden by rising hop character.
A good beer, somehow different from other Black IPAs, but doesn’t get me too excited.
