Bottle at a pre CBC-tasting in Johns rented apartment in Copenhagen. Very dark amber/brown beer with a nice lasting beige head. Hoppy chocolate aroma, cocoa, licorice, grassy, citrus, earthy notes. Hoppy chocolate flavor, earthy, cocoa, citrus, floral, some leather. Decent but I was hoping for more. mcberko (18557) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 1, 2013
On tap at Belmont Station’s Bier Cafe, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, citrus hops and some fruitiness. Flavour brings out loads of woody resinous hops, rye and bitter roasted malt. Leaves quite a harsh astringency on the finish. Dry, rye-y and bitter. Good stuff, but a bit harsh. Big citrus hop nose, dark malts pretty subtle in the background. Medium brown with a bubbly head. Chocolatey, bit of alcohol, dash of roast, touch of woody, citrusy hop. Good, balanced example. TBone (17994) - Pori, FINLAND - MAY 3, 2014

Dark brown color, small beige head. Grassy, licorice, alcohol in the nose. Medium-bodied. Toasted flavor, grassy, bitter hoppyness. Good CDA.
Black pour with a khaki head. The nose is roasty and dry, slightly acidic even. Floral hops, big grapefruit, and an interesting herbal quality. Plenty of pine, too. The flavor is quite bitter, dry, and roasty. Lots of pine, some grapefruit peel, and floral hops. Strong herbal note on the finish. Dedollewaitor (16315) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 20, 2014
Bottle @ Champ League Kval. Aab - Apoel. Pours black with a creamy head and lacings. Roast, pine and coffee roast. Smooth and dry. Actually past its BB date although its a newly imported beer to Denmark. Thankfully its holding up pretty well. Bitter finish. Ferris (16270) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 23, 2014
Bottle - Piney hops and some light roast. Jet black with a nice rich beige head. Grapefruit, pine and burnt toast. With the big flavors this is surprisingly well balanced and subdued. Very nicely done. bhensonb (15607) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 8, 2014
Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours very dark brown with ruddy glints and a slight tan head. Aroma is citrus, smooth dark malt, and maybe some floral. Med body. Flavor is fruit, pine, earth, slightly chocolate malt, smooth burnt malt. And could be some citrus. The surviving non-malt flavor seems pine. Fair amount of hop. Could be a light hop burn. Pretty flavorful. Scopey (15431) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2014
Bottle at Bruce’s. It pours darkest brown with a medium light tan head. The nose is fresh, piney, citrus peel, soap, potpourri, toast and roasted malt. The taste is bitter, roasted malt, varnish, piney, resin, raw bitterness, citrus peel, light alcohol, grapefruit and dirt with lingering bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Plenty of raw bitterness. Not the most refined, but decent enough anyhow.
