COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Citra Session™ IPA is brewed with high-quality Marris Otter and Vienna malt but the flavor is dominated by the Citra hops introduced throughout the boil and again in the dry hop for maximum aroma intensity. Notes of lemon, orange and grapefruit make this hop-laden brew a perfectly potable summer session IPA.

Session beets aren’t usually my thang, but this is decent. Pours a clear golden hue, with a thin white head. Soft hop aroma and a pretty good, albeit watery hop taste.

12oz bottle. One of the better session IPAs I’ve tasted. Hard to believe they were able to get this much flavor and character into such a low ABV brew. Well done.

Aroma of grapefruit and orange juice, taste is more grapefruit, moderate bitterness, mild alcohol, very enjoyable on a hot summer day. Rating 499.

On tap: The aroma consists of grapefruit, tropical fruits, and light dank notes. It?s a transparent golden-orange with a one finger white head that fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. There are some thin soapy rings left behind with each sip. The flavor starts with a quick dose of tropical fruits and a touch of mango. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit, pine, and a touch of dank hops. It?s light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Middle of the road session IPA. More malty and less of the clean tropical hops than others in the style and San Diego. Easy drinking enough.

Bottle @ Bishops Arms, Gustav Adolfs Torg. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 110715

16oz draft. Huge citra aromas of pineapple, mango, pine, slight dank finish. Flavor falls slightly with not much fruit on the palate. Palate isn’t wet as with other citra offerings. One of the better session ipas.

Golden-copper color with small head. Aroma is citra, lots of citrus fruits. Taste is similar - feels kinda heavy despite the sessionable ABV. Oranges and tangerines, grapefruits. Not too much pine. Nice!

People who love hops absolutely must visit Green Flash’s Hop Odyssey series. People who specifically love Citra hops must seek out Citra Session IPA. Seriously. If you love the juiciness, aromatics, and moderate-high acidity of Citra, you’ll probably love this session-able IPA built around it. The brew has a light orange appearance with a pure white head. Aroma isn’t as huge as some dry-hopped IPA’s, but it’s beautiful. Orange, peach, lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, and a bit of grass. Flavor translates some of that tropical character while also allowing Citra Session to be a lighter-bodied and refreshing Session IPA. There’s plenty of grassy sweetness, toasted malt, and of course, crisp bitterness. Session IPA’s are great for the summer months. This one is extra great.
