On tap at Cole’s. Beautiful, dark amber with a medium tan head. Definitely seems dry hopped, with an even combination of pine and citrus. No malt notes in the nose. The rye adds a little spice to an otherwise very hoppy tasting beer. Mostly train. Quite full. Not a session beer - there is even a note of booze in the finish. deyholla (11600) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 11, 2013
On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of resin and pine with a backing of rye and shiny of grapefruit. Flavor starts with grapefruit and rye with a finish of pine and resin. nearbeer (5414) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Several on tap. Deep copper with a lasting head. Nose is spicy caramel, orange-grapefruit and resiny wood. Tastes of orange toffee, light cocoa, evergreen resin. Long finish is dry spicy grass, resin and wood. Medium body has average carbonation and is well balanced. NikkTwist (3218) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 29, 2013
Draft at Monks. Deep burnt orange pour with a large tan head. Rich and boozy. Full syrupy palate. Brandied cherries. Pomegranate. Clear candy toys. Big earthy, resin hop flavors. Liquorice root. Molasses. Truffles. Black pepper. Turpentine. Darkly sweet but also a lot of lingering bitter. Bit harsh, but nice to find such strong dark red fruit notes in something so hoppy. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - JUL 27, 2013
Bottle. Copper beer with a cream head. Big summer fruit and big grapefruit aroma. Caramel and light earth flavor with summer fruit and grapefruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Summer fruit and caramel linger with grapefruit and light earthiness.

Draft at blue monk, deeper copper pour. Full mouthfeel. Big bitterness, citrusy hops. Balanced but all about the hops. Enough malts to save your palate. Very nice scarletfire65 (1466) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 13, 2013
Draft, 4th Ave Pub, before the Furthur show. Deep reddish brown pour. The nose is booze and spicy rye. Full bodied, heavy on the palate. A lot going on here, it’s very complex. Rye, spice, pine, citrus, oaky, woody, herbal. salvaticas (770) - - JUL 11, 2013

Pours a rich bronze colour with nice beige head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma is an immediate blast of fresh crisp celery, dank pine, grass, & hints of onion. Flavours follow the nose with some creamy sweet malt mingling around the delicious bitter citrus zest, finishing with lots of white pepper and hints of stale bread. Mouthfeel is not as full as expected. The remarkably distinctive hop profile makes this a very enjoyable brew. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - JUL 5, 2013
5 July 2013, tap at Green Flash brewery. Bright red/amber, clear, some bubbles. Nose is pink grapefruit, lemon rind. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Definitely rye malt, moderate alcohol, bitter grapefruit rind finish.
