UPDATED: MAY 28, 2013 Clear amber color, dininigshing white head, syrupy, smooth hoppiness, pronounced floral smell and taste with cirtus froots in there somewhere...The best beer I have had in weeks
Clear golden orange hue with thick creamy white head and sticky lacing, smells of spicy pine ad nectar hop, maybe some bread malt, very nice texture smooth broken up by citrus and lightly bittered, a bit astringent on the back end. chef201atc (261) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - MAR 10, 2007
Clear, light copper colored pour with a lasting rocky off-white head, good lace. Nice hop nose - orange and grapefruit, slightly malty sweetness. Smooth and medium bodied with livey carbonation. Nice hop flavor, piney, citrusy, good lasting hop bitterness. A great DIPA - high ABV, but still good hop flavor, not sweet like a lot of DIPAs. jefcon (1925) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAR 7, 2007
Clear and amber to golden in color, boasting a soapy, variegated head that produces some lacing. Aromas are lemony and floral. Big grabby alcohol and hops on the intial taste. A floral hop, very clean, hits the roof of the mouth. Some cookie malts on the back. Short, but bitter finish punctuates the beer. Compact and well-balanced. Lots of character, but a little thin. urbnhautebourg (997) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - MAR 5, 2007
Essentially everything I had expected, particularly after having tasted their regular IPA. Sticky, citrusy, etc. Fun to drink, but I could not get over the strangest, most out of place onion flavor. Onion? I am not kidding. Very odd. thehinge (296) - Nederland, Colorado, USA - MAR 3, 2007
Bottle. Aroma just explodes out of this IIPA. Tons of hops in it. Lively, well carbonated pour that’s got the expected orange color. Caramel and lemon in the front end with a huge hop wallop in the back end. A little too much hoppiness, maybe.

22 oz bottle.
Light amber color with a thin but persistant head. What a great smell , probably the most complex ,intense floral hop and malt aroma I’ve experienced in a Imperial IPA or any other beer. The taste was equally as unique as the smell. Complex floral hops and malts meshing beautifully.
A great brew here. DirtyMartini (194) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 2, 2007
draft at najas - first smell and taste told me the same thing....grass. definitely grassy, herbal hops easy to drink, though nothing that set my world on fire. solid, not spectacular IIPA JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 27, 2007
Pour is a clear amber with a nice white head and good lacing. Very nice aroma of hops, caramel, grapefruit, citrus, and malt. Flavors of caramel, citrus, sweet malt, fruit, and bitter hops. Thin to medium mouthfeel for the style. A very nice refreshing IIPA. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - FEB 25, 2007
On draft at Grey Lodge in Philly. Golden in color with a nice fluffy white head that left a nice lacing. Citrusy hoppy malty aroma. Grapefruit, piney, and orangey hops. Nice hop bitterness.
Tart fruity grassy flavor. Nice floral notes. Finish is bitter. Full bodied. Well balanced. Crisp and refreshing. Great. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - FEB 25, 2007
Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly. This beer rocked. Hop flavor was right on. Great bite. Was nice and floral.
