Le Freak is a modern ale created by converging two beer styles, Belgian Trippel and American Imperial IPA. The use of two yeast strains further marries the styles and American hops give the beer its modern flare.

Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, yeast, orange, bread, hops, citrus and spices.

Turbid golden/amber beer with heavy yeast and with a medium/large off-white head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, yeast and orange; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread, hops, citrus and spices.

This beer is intense, complex and balanced. The Belgian Triple is less noticeable than the Imperial IPA, but adds an almost Saison dryness. Amazing all-over with almost no flaws; it could have been more fruity, but that is it.

In the quest to find the most epic IPA you will eventually find your way to Green Flash Le Freak and discover that you have reached the pinnacle (for now). This is the most creative modern evolution of the IPA and the the Belgian Tripel and the marriage is a thing of remarkable beauty and pleasure. And the flavors complement each other in a magical way. But its not for the ordinary beer lover. This is for the aficionados. It is completely unique-Nothing else like it!

Bottle to glass - Pours golden, minimal white head. Aroma is great, dark, funky apples, some cinnamon/clove/coriander spiciness, belgian yeast galore. Very inviting. Crisp on the tongue with a hint of pepper as it unloads with more spiciness, earthy fruits and hay. Pretty big.

Aroma is citrus, clove, caramel, passion fruit, apricot, lemongrass and slight notes of dark fruits . Taste is sweet malts, honey and candy sugar that is paired with a nice deep yet balanced hop profile that is clove, citrus, lemon grass and a slight earthiness. Appearance is a slightly hazy gold with a medium pearl head that retains fairly well.

It pours golden with an off white moderately high head. Head retention is fairly good Overall it has good clarity and Belgian Lace. It has aromas of grass, some clove, floral, yeast, toasted, and grain. The initial flavors are sweet. There are flavors of spice, clove, low fruit, flora citrus, yeast, toast, and grain. It has a moderate body with a medium dry finish and lingering bitterness. It has moderately high carbonation. Overall, this is a beer that is hop forward with complimentary background malts and yeast the balances the final product well.
