UPDATED: JAN 24, 2013 Appearance is a murky golden color with a white head of small bubbles dissipating quickly. Aroma has a nice citrus aroma of lemon and grapefruit followed with a Belgian yeast. Taste follows the nose with lemon zest up front and some other mellow citrus taste which is then mellowed out by the Belgian flavor and then hitting you on the finish with some nice hop bitterness. A nice blend of two styles.

Super cloudy orange pour. Nice off white head that lasts and leaves nice nice lacing. Aroma is candied orange, citrus, caramel, a little estery peppery notes. Taste is a bit more caramel than on the nose, with the citrus, orange, peppery notes. Very good beer.

On tap at Tumans. Pours light copper. Nice balance of sweetness and breadiness with a solid amount of hops without being overbearing or astringent. I dont like APAs but I took a gamble on this one and am glad I did.

Bottle, Pours amber golden with medium head. Smell of light fruit, pine, and candy sugar. Finishes too ashy and bitter for its own good. Lost points for that and the average aroma.

Aroma:
Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, yeast, orange, bread, hops, citrus and spices.

Appearance:
Turbid golden/amber beer with heavy yeast and with a medium/large off-white head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, yeast and orange; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread, hops, citrus and spices.

Overall:
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. The Belgian Triple is less noticeable than the Imperial IPA, but adds an almost Saison dryness. Amazing all-over with almost no flaws; it could have been more fruity, but that is it.

In the quest to find the most epic IPA you will eventually find your way to Green Flash Le Freak and discover that you have reached the pinnacle (for now). This is the most creative modern evolution of the IPA and the the Belgian Tripel and the marriage is a thing of remarkable beauty and pleasure. And the flavors complement each other in a magical way. But its not for the ordinary beer lover. This is for the aficionados. It is completely unique-Nothing else like it!
