Le Freak is a modern ale created by converging two beer styles, Belgian Trippel and American Imperial IPA. The use of two yeast strains further marries the styles and American hops give the beer its modern flare.

Surprisingly refreshing and extremely well balanced IPA. Near the top of my list. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2017 Bottle purchased at Randall?s. Hoppy piney aroma, pours opaque amber with little yeah retention, moderate carbonation and relatively full mouthfeel. Taste is bitter and funky yeast initially, hints of sage,l and almost savory, with a very pleasant and fresh piney, hoppy finish. Truly a blend between an IPA and a Belgian.

Bottle from Liquor Barn into a tulip glass. Aroma is definitely complex with Belgian yeast and hops.

From a 22 oz bottle. Pours copper amber translucent with nice carbonation and 3/4" head. Citrus nose, sweet hoppy smell, and a tad of coriander? Claims to be a marriage of a trippel and an IPA. First taste is of white peppercorn. Complex taste with a clean finish and a tad spicy. A solid performer, but not a drink all day beer.

EBF Boston 2017. Un classique par le nombre de ratings. Une robe dorée orangée. Une bière avec des saveurs de fruits, de houblon, caramel léger. Une bouche agréable de IPA moderne avec des agrumes et de la résine sur une base de levure belge avec des épices.

10oz draft. I am not normally a fan of Belgian beers, nor am I a big fan of high-alcohol IPA’s, but this went down very nicely. The spice was subtle, as was the alcohol. Highly recommended.

22oz bottle bought at De Bierkoning, Amsterdam and poured into a snifter at home on 04-Mar-2017. Hazy golden amber with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grain and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of honey, malt, tropical fruit, orange and spices. Light bitterness with a bittersweet fruity and alcoholic finish. A pretty good Belgian style IPA.

simontomlinson (420) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2017
Tight, fluffy near white head stayed well on a clear golden, still body. Tropical fruit & orange aroma. Medium body, sharp, tingly & clean on the back. Dry on the aft. Bitter citrus, pine, tropical fruits, pith, mango, orange & the Belgian yeast is definitely knocking about.
