Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Bottled on March 22, 2016. Batch 01. Dark, nearly opaque purple pour with a short, fizzy pink head. Aroma is sour fruit, tart berries and funky yeast notes. Taste is sour fruit, tart, unripe berries, funky yeast, earthy notes, soft wood and red wine notes. Body is medium with a light, prickly carbonation. Dry during the finish with light acidity. The first thing that hit me when sniffing this beer was that it was quite milky. Smelling past that, I got some funk and then sour berries. The taste was primarily sour cherries. UPDATED: JUL 23, 2017 Bottle. Moderate hay for the malt, moderate grass for the hops, moderate to heavy musty dankness for the yeast, with vinegar and lots of dark berries in the background. Head is small to average, fizzy/frothy, light lavender, with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky fusia. Flavor starts heavily acidic and acetic, then finishes heavily acidic and sour. Palate is light to medium, slick, with a lively to fizzy carbonation and an extremely tart finish. Sample @ ABR 2016. Hazy deep reddish pour with a massive pink head. Aroma is pretty jammy. Tart stone fruit. Blueberry and cherry mash. Flavor has some mild lactic tang. Moderately sour on the finish. More stone fruits. Medium body, pillowy carbonation.

Sampled from the tap at ABR 2016. Pours a clear purple with a whitish purplish head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has lots of boysneberry with earthy grains, light funk and oak. Dark deep plummy Amber with a fast dissipating fuzzy pink head. Big acidic wild tart. Odd wig some sweet earthy berries and guava tartness. Hugely tart flavor that’s puckering and sharp but also wild and fruity and charming. Loads of wild acidic pucker that doesn’t even calm down after sip number 10, with big sugary blackberry and currant berry flavors, sour finish with a lactic tone. Draft at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a dark reddish purple color with a small pinkish head. The aroma and flavor have tart dark berries, oak, light Brett, vinous notes, some tannins, additional fruit, hints of spice, some acidity, this walks the line between tart and sour, I like this and will have it again.
