The Nut Brown is an English-Style Ale having rich caramel malt flavors and drying nutty characteristics in the finish. British and Belgian specialty malts are used in this brew to enhance the depth of malt flavor and aroma. Mild hops are used to lend just the right balance to the lush malt flavors and medium body.

Pours solid brown. Malty nose. Notes of caramel, chocolate and roast - followed by nuttiness, finishing with light hops. Nice brew.

Brown with a thin brownish-tan head. Malty with a caramel-like sweetness. A bit thin, but smooth. Hints of nuts.

Matts_Property (837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 4, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours dark red/brown with a small creamy head. Aroma of syrup, heavy malts, caramel, toffee, toasted nuts. Flavour mainly of nuts, caramel, and malt. Quite thin.

mcberko (19837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 3, 2011
12 oz. bottle, pours dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of toasted malts, nuts and a little caramel sweetness. Flavour is quite light, with nuts, toasted malts and some sweetness - sort of a muted, metallic finish. Decent but nothing special.

strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - MAY 8, 2011
Bottle. Light brown, clear, thin tan head. Sweet, almost a little syrupy aroma -- heavy malt. Medium body and carbonation. Strong nutty taste and finish. A little too nutty for my preference.

OldGrowth (3665) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - APR 17, 2011
pint at Tylers Apex, 3/20/11. Good aroma, sweet, malty. Nutty, salty, a red wine streak about it. Brownish orange color, ok head and lace. Bitter flavor, Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, mild bitter, sweet finish. Tasty, flavor had a nice citrus bite mixed with chocolate and caramel. Good brown

maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 10, 2011
On tap at The Monk. Pours a brown red. Lots of red tinges on the edge with a small white beige head. Aroma is predominately sweet caramel malts and chocolate. Flavour brings out peanuts, salt and sweet malts. Palate is a little watery. Just ok

Lagunitasfan (1323) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 23, 2011
On tap at Urge for the Total Tap Takeover with BP and GF. Malty red/brown pour. Total brown ale. Nice malty sweetness to it, but with enough body behind it to make it worthwhile. Nuttiness lingering. Not bad.

HopMasterFlex (108) - Carlsbad, California, USA - MAR 14, 2011
One of my least favs of gf beers, it smells like yeast and toasted malts. Taste is bitter malts and slightly wheat tasting. It’s ok but not my fav.
