This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of fine to medium sized bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a strong bubbly carbonation transparent light red brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The smooth aroma was hoppy floral and musty. The sharp mild citrus mildly vinous crisp mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong hoppy aftertaste. The sharp flavor contained notes of mild rye crisp and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again. BRW (3054) - Barcelona, SPAIN - MAY 7, 2014

Powerful but pleasant aroma. Reddish brown in color. Definitely tasting the hoos in this one. Bule (2240) - California, USA - MAY 4, 2014

Golden amber body with white head. Floral & honey nose. Hefty malt backbone with great hoppy profile. Delicious!

Tasted on tap at cbc. Pours a clear dark golden with an offwhite foam. Aroma has lots of grass. Strong hop aroma.
Tasting is very balanced. Intensly hopped with grass, but also a nice maltiness balancing. EvanFriend (627) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 1, 2014
Very hop forward, aroma and taste are both dominated by pine. Sweet, caramel malt also shines through to give some balance. Good beer. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 1, 2014

2014-05-01, draught at Pumphouse, Richmond, 16oz, 7-5-8-5-15=40
Fruity, resiny, abrasive but too heavy.

Amber color, clear, with creamy head. Sweet and fruity beer, with a good mix of malt and caramel, medium sweetness, a bit candyish, strong bitterness, hop resins, cedar peel, and a mild animal character present in the aroma and flavor.
Good, potent, but I wouldn’t drink much of it.

Poured a dark orange, amber hazy color with two fingers of khaki white head. A decent amount of bubbles coming up from the bottom. Average amount of uneven layered spotty lacing along the sides of the glass. Good retention.
Smelled a pleasant mix of hops and malts. Got floral hops, citrus hops, Cascade hops, spruce, rye hops, mint toothpaste, amber malts, caramel, some slightly wet earthy malts and some unknown spicy notes.
Tasted pretty much what I expected it to after the smell. Got those heavy, earthy malts more than the hops. Caramel, rye, amber, citrus hops, light honey, light lemon and sour tropical fruit, all with an unknown spicy bitter note lingering on the tongue long after.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish.
Not as good as I hoped, but still a decent imperial IPA.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2014 On tap at Alibi Room in Vancouver. A medium amber beer, with a bit of whitish head. Not much nose available on this sample pour. An intensely bitter and lively flavour, with at least several hop varieties. Some malt evident as well. Hoppy-eye-aye!
And June 20 at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. Still a yummy hop-blast!
