COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Golden amber/brown in a big goblet. Smells strongly of Pine and hops. Tastes great, full on IPA flavor, with a nice underlying hint of spice and some malt. Very good Imperial. I’ll have this again From a bottle, within 3 days of purchase.

Pours beautiful clear amber, not much foam but what it has is leaving some beautiful lacings. Aroma is like a hoppy herbal fruit cake. Sweetness is there as you would expect from 9.5% beer, it is covered with some aggressive hops though. Resiny and tropical, actually feeling balanced. Taste reveals super resiny and hop-oily body, sweetness is strong also but covered thick with these hop oils. For me, it also feels drinkable so its actually somewhat dangerous, easy to drink too much of it which at 9.5% is no child’s play. Kind of feels like something I wanted right now, so good to try this.

Intense pine, alcohol, tropical fruits, dank and overripe, mango, papaya, passion fruit, blood orange. Clear, dark gold, small, creamy, white head. Medium bitter. Bitterness intensifies, very bitter indeed, tropical fruits, pine, mango, papaya, alcohol, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Nice IIPA, loads of pine. Keg at The Bottle Shop, Bermondsey.

Oh my! Very hoppy but oh so nice. The Palate Wrecker is surprisingly smooth, but has a nice bite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Copper with a thin white head. Aroma is pine resin, catty, eucalyptus. Huge malty/hoppy flavors with loads of bitterness with just enough balancing malt to keep my tongue on its hinges. Long, lovely, bitter finish. I’d have another but my palate is now wrecked.

On tap at Maddy’s Tap Room, Washington DC on 5-Mar-2017. Clear copper colour with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt, citrus, tropical fruit and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of honey, caramel, malt, grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel and spices. Heavily bitter with a bittersweet fruity, hoppy and alcoholic finish. A pretty good IPA and nice one for my 100th rating.
