COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Well played Green Flash! Huge hop nose. On tap at Kellehers. Golden, clear, with a tiny creamy head. This brew is a hop lovers dream. Not quite sure what hops were used but they are warm and robust. Not as clean and crisp as I expected. Awesome beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampler at Armanetti’s. Murky amber color. Big hop nose. Guess I did not pick up that the IBU’s were higher than the tongue can actually perceive, being as it had plenty of more aromatic hops in it. The main impression was of passionfruit, but lots of resin stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lays very nicely on my tongue.

Caramel, citrus, and pine hops in the aroma. Flavor starts with a little caramel, then finishes with a healthy punch of fruit, pine, and spice. Great IPA

Pours dark orange with a potent hop aroma. An amazing overpowering hop profile finishing with sweet with notes of grapefruit and pine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

OMG. This is way over the top! HUGE hop flavor that overcomes your senses. We were at a tasting and this took best of show for us. Too bad the guys that represented the brand and served us were jerks. Made us feel guilty for asking for free samples. That aside.....seek out this beer if you like the style!

Bottle. A clear bright copper red tinted brew with a long lasting eggshell white head. Rich grapefruit and pine in the big aroma. Almonds, toast and hay also sneak through. A big bruiser of a beer, this still manages to be fairly drinkable. There is some booze, but it is mostly in the finish. Almonds mix in with grapefruit rinds. Notes of hay also come through with each sip. Wood is also present. Nicely done for a big West Coast styled nearly bone dry IIPA.

This is a great IIPA. The work that went into making this clearly shows. The West Coast IPA used to be my favorite until they priced themselves out of my wallet.

Bottled. Clear amber beer, frothy head with good lace. Huge piney and polleny hop aroma, a hint of green grass, massive toffy-toned maltiness underneath. Bold malt body is quite sweet, but resiny bitterness soon takes over. Lingering bitter, resiny aftertaste. Full bodied, thick and almost oily texture with biting resins from the hops. Huge DIPA, very nice.

Pours an amber color with a moderate white head. Nose and taste both have some strong hoppy bitter elements to them, yet the beer ends up being super smooth and well-balanced. One of the better IIPAs I’ve had.

Bam! Talk about an in your face double IPA! Big aroma, big hop flavor, and the bitterness definitely wrecks your palate. Very enjoyable if that's what you like (like I do)! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
