Amber with white head. Aroma of spruce and hay. Flavour with malt, alcohol and spices. humlelala (1375) - DENMARK - OCT 27, 2012
(Bottle from Bagsværd Vinhandel; 8459 B 2012) Pours clear amber with medium, creamy white head. Plenty of lace and good retention. Aroma is herbal, earthy hops with notes of whithered leaves. Oily texture, soft carbonation, full body and a somewhat sweet and warming finish. I’m not a fan of the style but this comes in the top-5 of what I’ve tasted. I can’t help but think it’s let down by the old hops though.. Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - OCT 27, 2012
Bottled. Amber appearance. Beige head. Piney citrusy hops, caramel and boletus showing up in the nose. Rather present malt back. Strong bitterness. Full bodied. Despite the high IBUs this double IPA is rather reminiscent of barley wine. Walnuts, boletus and piney hops in the finish which is dry. mile (4067) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 23, 2012
Bottle. Dark golden, hazy, average and fully diminishing head. Moderate to full malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel, tropical fruitiness, lots of grapefruit - piney hoppyness, some alcohol. Body is average to full, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, some caramel and some tropical fruitiness, grapefruit and piney hoppyness, light alcohol. Finish is average to long, malty and lightly sweetish, some caramel, faint fruitiness, lots of bit sharp piney - some grapefruit hoppyness, some alcohol. Really well hopped DIPA – finish lacks the fruitiness/too much alcohol in the finish/caramel does not go along with hoppyness. daje (4548) - NORWAY - OCT 23, 2012
Bottle from Vika. Clear amber body, low white head. Aroma of grass, mango, malt. taste is quite hoppy, notes of grass, pine, citrus, plenty of caramel, high bitterness, too sweet to pass as a "palate wrecker" as I think the high bitterness is cancelled out by lots of unfermented malt. Sweet and piney aftertaste.
LoFi (1763) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 19, 2012
Reddish amber with a beige head leaving lacing.
Aroma: peach, butterscotch, vanilla.
Taste: pineapple, peach, toffee, pepper, vanilla, pine, grapefruit, not as bitter as expected.
Not a palate wrecker, but very nice. jcartamdg (3539) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 17, 2012
Pours an amber orange with a thick lacy head. Aroma is hops and booze, lots of alcohol in this one. Taste is heavy on malts hops and alcohol. Too much alcohol taste. Very thick and syrupy. I'm not a big fan of this one

Bottle. Pours orange with some wispy head. Aroma is minimal but holy hell is this hoppy. Flavor is.over-hopped pallet wrecking goodness. I love hoppy beers but this is extreme. A bomber is a bit much but its a nice beer. KnutAlbert (6798) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 15, 2012
Dark glod. Fine grassy hops, but not as extreme as the name would make you believe. Cland and crisp, long herbal tail. bierkoning (13813) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 15, 2012
Bottle. Melon, grapefruit and oily hops in the aroma. Firm oily grassy citric hopbitter flavor with pepper, grapefruit and dried tropical fruit. Long earthy grassy oily aftertaste.
