COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

Bottle - Assault of the senses, huge hop nose with pine, grapefruit and sweetness. Clear amber with a rich thick never ending head. Ton’s of hop flavours, again piney with grapefruit and sweetness. A nice bitterness follows the flavours through. Oily on the tongue. Not a sessionable beer, but a fantastic finish to your palate.

33cl bottle @ Sorbon, Bromma. Clear dark orange color, medium sized off-white head. Smell and taste llight to moderately malty, bitter, fruity, hops, slightly citrus, slightly peach and some resin. Medium to very bitter aftertaste. Sticky texture. Medium body, medium carbo.

Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. Pours deep amber with a medium white head. The nose is light mango, woody big hop aromas. The taste is herbal hops, dried grass, peppercorn and lemon citrus. Medium body, slightly astringent. This bottle tastes a bit knackered. Decent on this showing, I want to try this at the source...

36cl, American brew, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex bitter brew, bitter/sweet and slightly fruity/woody, very bitter, yet balanced, clear, good head, good brew, yet expensive!

Pours a hazy blood orange color with a ring of off-white head. Big tropical fruit aroma, mango, papaya, pungent and some toffee. Full-bodied, light carbonation, lasting finish. Big hop flavor, balanced but leaning heavily toward hop bitterness. Very little astringency, though. A powerful hop-head brew!

Great orange color. Nice hoppy resin smell and taste but with enough malt to keep it going. Really good beer.

Gription79 (2892) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - AUG 12, 2012
Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. The aroma is mainly grassy hop notes, some caramel. This is more of a barley wine. Lots of malty sweetness/caramel. The hops are very muted. Meh.
