COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
White IPA brewed with Passion Fruit and Brett. Part of a "Beer to the Rescue" event benefiting the Lupus Foundation of Southern California.

We were trying to brew a low IBU white IPA, if you will, with the intention of adding passion fruit purée, post-fermentation. We wanted to utilize an experimental hop that would complement the passion fruit that we’d use later. We added mostly late additions of this experimental hop varietal in order to provide a nice tropical fruit aroma while keeping the IBUs in the 40-ish range. Then we headed to Stone Farms to source some passion fruit. The passion fruit we found there was mind-blowing in all aspects. After cutting open the fresh fruit and tasting the beautiful, bright orange seed-peppered juice we all had ear-to-ear smiles and knew this would be perfect for the beer. We juiced the fruit and headed to the brewery to make up some different blends. We also added some Protégé Savauge, our White IPA aged in Chardonnay barrels with Brettanomyces. The result was a beer that had an amazing orange yellow color with a touch of tartness and an incredible amount of complexity. We’re very excited to offer this beer in the tasting room for a limited time, kicking off the initial tapping for our Beer to the Rescue fundraiser.

Samled at Urban Tap. Cloudy white gold with a small white ring. Big fruit nose. Sweet. Passion fruit plus more tropical varieties. Very rich. If you like passion fruit this is for you. Ok.

Bottle brought from the bottle shop in Canterbury. Pours a very light amber colour light head, aroma is passionfruit sorbet and the palate is a very light dryness. Very pleasant to drink, on a warm day smashable

Toned down IPA with aromas and flavors of passion fruit, flowers and funk. Light golden color and a crisp light body. Easy to drink but not a go to if I really wanted an IPA.

Color is light straw. Aroma is light passion fruit notes. Taste is light passion fruit with smooth wheat. Mouthfeel is pretty quick and doesn't linger too strongly. *12 oz bottle into pint glass ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle on 3/28/16. Pours a slightly hazy tangerine with a loose white head. Nose is fruits (passion, I suppose), faint wheat. Taste is nicely fruity upfront, sweet, tart, tasty. Not much for hop presence. I like it a lot for a fruit beer but for an ipa it's not hoppy enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

At the brewery. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is funky, passion fruit and tart. Taste is passion fruit, great tartness, hardly any bitterness, but nice fruity-tart finish. Amazing, finally a beer that manages to bring the tart Passion Fruit feeling into a beer! I love it!
