Bottle (courtesy of BarZigKin). Musty lemon/coriander malt aroma. Cloudy amber color with giant off-white head. Dry musty light lemon malt flavor initially with strong coriander finish. Mild bitter herbal aftertaste. Nice. cooplander (543) - Florida, USA - APR 19, 2012

Bottle with James, Andrew and Maggi. Pours a hazy amber with lots of head. Smell is leathery yet fresh. Taste is quenching yet dark, almost leathery. Smooth and horsey. davey101 (751) - Connecticut, USA - APR 19, 2012
12 oz bottle into a tulip glass.
A - Dark amber clear body with a massive dirty off-white foam head. Dies down to clumpy and soapy foam. Super dense and thick with tons of lacing and retention.
S - Tons of brett aromas. Funk with some hints of lemon and grass.
T - Funk initially. Crisp with hints of citrus fruit and grassy earthy notes. High level of carbonation with a dry and lingering finish.
O - Very delicious beer with the perfect blend between funk and earthiness/fruit. This is a great take on Orval. bleeng (1682) - Seattle still not near Beersel., Washington, USA - APR 18, 2012

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2013 No doubt this is an interesting beer. Complex nose with a magnificent amber with orange hue, almost a glow in the glass. I did like this beer but taste wise in the back of my mind I could not shake the memory of fermenting oranges.
RERATE: 26 Dec 2013. Been awhile since I tried this beer but nothing has changed. jeff789 (1408) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 17, 2012
Fruity hoppy aroma kinda smells like pez... Clear orange white head nice lacing... Fruity medium body easy drinking lively nice fruity not overly yeasty Belgian flavor... Nicely done hawthorne00 (3982) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 17, 2012
Bottle, 12C. Cloudy amber with a towering white head. Aroma of lemon, brett, white pepper, peaches. Some fruit, spicy tartness and a very dry and quite bitter finish. Thinnish with not a lot of depth to the fruit before the bretty dry finish kicks in. A bit of a medicinal note. Not quite Orval (and _more_ expensive than it here), but you think of it immediately even if the balance is a bit more towards the hops. ALLOVATE (3028) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 17, 2012
At just on cool, a small bottle - don’t want to over commit. With only half in the chalice it raised an enviable white clowd of foam that adheres like glue to the walls of the glass. Sits, just shy of bright and dazzling in the lights; a deep, orange amber with very sparse and very fine carbonation. A top up with the rest of the beer it disperses a fine haze of yeast that turns it pastel in tone. Got a nice tweak of the funked-up, hessian-sack, Brett notes coming through on the nose. A good whiff of salted white cheese, drift-wood, mouse hair, white bread dough too with inklings of ripe, soft, tropical fruits to round it off nicely; very pleasing and subtle. Dry, tart, woody and all consumed Brettanomyces charged palate. Hops in equal synch. I half expected it to be rife with resinous US hops but this is so pleasingly balanced. Body is firm, not light, not heavy, with the carbonation offering to elevate it well and pierce every seem, every nook, every cranny of the mouth. Flavour reminiscent of hessian-sack, driftwood and vine-clippings, tart strawberries and peachy fruit esters, vanilla and musk candy in late. Puckering, hairy, undeniably dry swallow sees it tail off quickly with only a little yeasty funk to reminisce on. A pleasant surprise for me. An original ale, well made, beautifully crafted. Lovely! Slightly hazed copper color with a fluffy white head that had plenty of staying power and left trails of lacing. Aroma is crisp spices and some yeast. Spiced yeast and bitterness are good together and make you want another sip. Medium bodied with a crisp bite. A very enjoyable beer to begin or end an evening.
