If Green Flash were founded in historical Belgium, Rayon Vert would have been our flagship brew. A bold layering of hops finds balance from traditional malts. Bottle conditioning with fresh ale yeast and Brettanomyces finishes the beer, adding a delightful effervescence, dryness and continuously evolving character. Rayon Vert is Green Flash.

gururyan (722) - Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA - APR 4, 2013
UPDATED: APR 13, 2013 Picked up a four pack at lunch, couldnt wait until after work to tap it (shhhhh). Pours a hazy golden orange, super thick head that dissipates fairly quickly luckily. Aroma is much more Belgian, while taste is much more pale. Quite light on the palette with a bite to the tongue. Great spring beer. Prost. EDIT: After having several, I have to take the rating down a bit...Rayon Vert gets quite soapy and less sessionable after a few.

Bottled. Small sample. The aroma has citrus, some toffee, barnyard, apple. Bit hazy, orange coloured beer with a medium sized off-white head. The taste is light-moderate bitter and has citrus, barnyard tones, herbal tones. Medium bodied beer. Very good.

Aroma is clove, citrus, an earthiness and funkiness. Taste is sweet crisp maltiness with light honey and caramel. A definite sour and vinegar presence here but it finished pretty smooth. Appearance is a clear gold with a medium fluffy head that retains quite well.

Either I got a bad batch or this beer is whack. HUGE carbonation level, spurted all over my desk and took 20 min to pour a decent looking beer. Yeasty flavor is about all I get other than my mouth wanting to explode from the carbonation. Some orange I guess. All 4 bottles in the pack had the same crazy carbonation. Reminds me of a high gravity homebrew bottled way too early.

Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy bright gold with a thick frothy white head. Tastes like pine and grassy hop bitterness, with some funkyness, light bready malts, and some citrus fruit, and with some lingering hop resin. Medium body and carbonation. Smells grassy, like pine, and citrus hops, biscuit and straw malts, orange peel, lemon, herbs, and some funk.

Sissio (1590) - Orsenigo, ITALY - FEB 21, 2015
Clear amber, rocky cream head. Zesty citric aroma and bread crust. Nicely balanced, leaves a bread crust aftertaste. A mix of yeasty, simple malts and hops.
