Served on draft at Beer Run. I’m not sure what makes this retro, or a different beer from the Extra Pale at all, so I fully expect this rating to be merged at some point. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized head. Poor head retention. Aroma of herbal, peppery and earthy malts. The taste is sweet malts, earth, peppery and herbal hops. Medium bodied with a lingering bitterness. Nice. Braudog (6716) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 15, 2012
Draft to growler, from the Birch. Golden and shiny with a nice boiling head of white foam. Creamy appeal, with an everyman’s appeal -- lightly caressed with a bit of flowery finish, but an easy drinker for anybody. Retro Extra Pale. Tap at Pizza Port OB. Clear light amber with a one finger white head, pretty decent retention. Flavor has lots of biscuit malt, light sweaty Cascade hops present. Minimal sweetness, zero caramel. Aroma followed suit. Dry finish, bitterness at a 3. Light body with light to moderate carbonation. Good summer beer, though might be boring to some. 7-4-7-4-14--3.6 mainly because of drinkability. No flaws. bhensonb (15194) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 12, 2012
Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hzy gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of light pitted fruits. Med body. Metallic tang. Light pitted fruit(towards apricot) with a lot of citrus bitter. Finishes fresh and bitter. Most Xcellent.

Draught at Breukelen Bier Merchants day of tapping. A very light and refreshing pale with characteristic green flash quality and hops. Super bright clear with a respectable white head. Aroma of grass, cereal, lightly fruity and floral with a little spice. Flavor is clean cooling citrus and earthy hops giving way to light sweet bread with a light bitter finish. Perfect balanced ending clean and dry on the palate. (had this a few a week later in a growler left unopened over night and it wasn’t nearly so bright and fresh, shame on me). bs476 (80) - - OCT 13, 2012
Great PA. Formula going extinct! Extremely clear, little head. Almost a pils...but hoppy. Fun beer.

Pint on tap at Neon’s Unplugged. On the chalkboard it was labeled simply "Green Flash Pale Ale", but a Green Flash rep in the bar was referring to it as "Retro". Clear amber color, nice thin white head, leaving good lace. Very nice grapefruit, pine, dry hop aromas. Enough hops for an IPA, but without the bitter or heaviness. Very nice crisp carbonation, excellent dry texture with a good dry hop aftertaste. Lighter bitter taste - the hop overpowers it. Very nice pale ale, one to rival Stone’s, I think. Shared some with Hota: she said it was smooth and light, soft palate, but a brassy aftertaste. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - NOV 7, 2012
On draft. Clear golden yellow with a white head. Aroma of citrus, toasty malt and light honey. Flavor is balanced with bitter hops and malt. Medium to light body with average carbonation. Very nice, light crisp session beer. JPDurden24 (1675) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - JUL 17, 2012
Yellow gold pour, white head. Aroma of biscuit malts and some hoppiness, taste has a little fruit flavor with some bitterness. Light and refreshing, a good pale ale.
