Clear dark amber color with ivory foam. Tea leaf, rye spice, hoppy aromas. Medium body with average carbonation. Hoppy bitter tea leaf, caramel, rye spice flavors____big boozy bitter finish----almost good. Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JUL 23, 2014
Pours a cola color with a sweet malt aroma. Taste is very dry, with a spicy note on the aftertaste. Almost like a hint of tobasco sauce was mixed in the beer. The alcohol content comes through with each drink and a bitter aftertaste that is typical of DIPA’s. bigtaster (979) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUL 22, 2014
From bottle in a chalice. Brown red color with large tan head. Citrus hops caramel malt, flavors are complex, nice body goes down smooth. Very good malty hoppy beer.

Cherry, plum, caramel, deep cereals, plenty of hoppiness, spicy finish. Great rye brew, outstanding IIPA! Brenhophead (695) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 22, 2014
330mL bottle. Pours a deep mahogany with an off white head. Lots off resinous pine in the aroma and some citrus fruit. Nice even flavour, very hard to detect the alcohol, lots of pine with resinous/earthy note on the back end. The bitterness is well balanced. unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - JUL 20, 2014
Narrow, Green Flash 12oz bottle. Light copper color. Aroma of toasted grains, Cola, loads of citrus hops. Huge bitter flavor. Taste of hops. Some sweet malts underlay beneath hops. Toasted malt sugar character, but mostly hops.(4126) 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUL 14, 2014
Bottle:   Copper hued orange, moderate foamy tannish head, nice lacing.   Somewhat of a pithy tea leaf start, definite rye, but what this is lacking right away is any sort of sweetness.   Comes across dry, without anything sweet to balance it out.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Strong pith and peel towards the back, soft tea leaves too.   Really wished it were sweeter, more floral or candied citrus bits.   Clean, I will give it that, but not one I would reach for over and over. Bottle, from Triangle Wine, Morrisville. Best by 11/13/14. Good aroma, sweet. Pine, grapefruit, and rye are dominant, some orange, tea leaves. Clean brownish orange color, ok head, ok lace. Bitter sweet flavor. Medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Good. Rye is strong, which gives it a strong grain build against the hops. It’s interesting, I might see where some don’t like the mix, but I like it. Real big sweet IIPA.
