Green Flash has something special going with many of their beers. Road Warrior is a great rye IPA. Its a little heavier tasting than your typical IIPA... but very drinkable. A great beer from start to finish. A very enjoyable well crafted brew.

Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper body with a small fizzy beige head that quickly vanished. The nose is a great mix of citrusy hops and spicy rye, both equally potent. Some lesser breadiness and caramel notes. The flavor is decently spicy from the rye, but theres way too much caramel sweetness under the rye and bitter hops. The sweetness really takes over towards the finish. Medium bodied, rather sturdy, with fizzy carbonation. This one had potential for me, but the heavy sweetness made it fall short for me. On the whole its still pretty good.

Rating #1239 - 02.09.2014 - On tap @revolutionyeg. Clear golden pour with a bubbly white foam, spotty lacing. Citrusy sweet, Mosaic hop fruitiness on the nose.. Mouthfeel crisp, mild alcohol warmth, low-medium carbonation. Taste is sweet orangey notes, a distinctive rye bite, Mosaic predominant.

12fl.oz. bottle. Pours a hazy copper with a medium, frothy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Hoppy, grapefruit aroma with caramel malt and grass. Sweet fruity flavour with grapefruit, caramel malt, grass, pine and resin with a hint of rye in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Well brewed and delicious.

Pour is a dark amber with a thick tan head. Aroma is a pine groove in winter. Taste is bittersweet with a strong hop note. Finish is warm and complex. Very good ale.

Bottle at home. Red pour almost no head. Nose is piney, some earth, and dark fruits. Tastes of cherry, pine, caramel, earth, some rye without over doing it, malty, some grapefruit rind. Big chewy palate. Not too sweet or bitter. Red fruits on finish.

Draft at falling rock. Dark amber color, white head. Mild malt aroma. Hop forward taste with a malt and rye finish. Tasted a little stale, maybe a bad or old keg?
